Rose in the Park (Patreon)

This image was extremely out of focus. I shot this with a Nikon D850 and a Zeiss Otus 55mm lens. It's a manual focus lens and one of the finest lenses I've ever owned. But on a DSLR with my poor vision it's damn near impossible to focus. The D850 does have focus peaking but I didn't take the time to use it. I now shoot with Nikon mirrorless and the Otus lens on a mirrorless is a breeze to focus even with my vision.

I used a Photoshop plugin from Topaz Labs to sharpen this image and I'm amazed at that filters ability to recover images which are not sharp.
