This was done using only available light from the window and the lamp. Anytime I shoot an image that includes a light fixture or lamp visible within the image I prefer the light to be on and the exposure balanced so that it's obvious it's turned on. It's my opinion that a light included in a shot, especially a lamp, that is turned off creates a dead area in the image. Having light fixtures play a part in an image brings it to life and makes it feel normal.
