Anytime you shoot with a mid to long telephoto and can find something like these columns to shoot down you can create a winning look. The longer lenses compress the columns and if you shoot at a wide aperture the focus will be thin enough to draw attention to your subject. Here the Nikon 200mm f/2.0 lens did the job but most lenses in this range can achieve the same goal.
