Kailee and Tessa board the Pilot Boat (Patreon)

My friend Doug offered to take us along on a trip to retrieve a ship pilot (Captain) from an outbound freighter. For as long as we shadowed the freighter there were a dozen or more dolphins playing in the wake in front of the big boat and the girls had a blast watching the show. I guess the dolphins escorted the ship all the way across the ocean to its next destination because they never seemed to lose interest in swimming in front of it. The weather was nice and seas were calm and the girls watched the pilot climb down the long rope ladder from the top deck of the freighter and step on to the pilot boat we were in. Then we turned and carried the pilot back to the mainland. The seas were calm but I can imagine the risk the pilots take making that transfer during rough weather.
