Lately I've been using Godox LED lighting and loving it/ In this image there is a very small LED light on the floor facing up towards the background on a very low setting. There is a light on both the right and left behind the model facing towards her to create a slight rim light and to accentuate her hair. Just in front of the photographer's position there is an LED hanging on a boom stand facing almost directly to the model's face. And behind the photographer's position is a six foot white umbrella supplying a bit of fill. All lights are equipped with fresnel lenses and barn doors except the umbrella light. The lights are all on very low output and the aperture used is from f/1.2 to around f/2.8. It's so nice to be able to see exactly where the light is going and how much of it is going there. It would be possible to shoot with brighter light from the LED's if a higher aperture is preferred but the lights do become a bit blinding to the subject. So there may be times when strobes are a better option.
