1.) We just put the kids to bed. The house is finally quiet. Maybe we’re talking on the couch, half-asleep, soft voices, little laughs, intimate but calm energy. 2.) Early morning chaos making breakfast, getting the kids ready, stealing little moments together before the day starts. Playful, loving, a little teasing. 3.) We’re in the car, kids in the back, music playing low. Maybe we’re joking, maybe one of them falls asleep and it turns into a softer moment between us. 4.) Everyone’s asleep. It’s just us in bed talking about life, stress, love, future plans. Deep, emotional, reassuring type vibe. 5.) Grocery store, quick stops, casual conversations, subtle flirting, real-life couple energy. 6.) Baby won’t sleep, we’re tired but laughing through it. Soft reassurance, teamwork, “we got this” type energy. 7.) A small disagreement that turns into understanding, reassurance, and closeness. Real but still comforting. 8.) Reflecting on our relationship, how far we’ve come, appreciating each other. 9.) One of us had a long day. The other is there to comfort, reassure, hold things down emotionally.

I just had a thought since mother's day is right around the corner, I was thinking that it would be a breakfast in bed scenario to celebrate mother's day with

1. Ice skating outing with the family. Teaching the little one how to skate by holding their hands and guiding them on the ice. They fall a little; us (listeners) and you, fall as well. Getting ice cream or another sweet try after. 2. Watching fireflies on the porch. It's late at night and the kid/kids won't sleep. No matter what we try to get them to sleep their eyes won't close due to the light and movements outside the window. We step and become engrossed with the fireflies while continuing to cradle them. 3. Snuggling in a hammock. It's a hot summer day. We decide to cool by relaxing in the shade under the trees in the backyard. We talk leisurely while the little one lays between us or on one of our chest. 4. Hide and seek gone wrong. We're hiding while the kids seek—we hide a little too well that they can't find us. We come out of hiding to comfort and cheer them up with kisses and cuddles. 5. Family tea party. It's raining outside so the kids are staying in and having a tea party. They invite us to join them as guests (we bring actual tea and snacks since they were playing pretend.) 6. Teaching us (listeners) how to do our daughter's hair. You're brushing our young daughter's hair after getting her out of the bath. We're watching with interest, so much so you drag us over and show us how to braid her hair; we end up styling our little girl's hair together before putting her to bed. 7. Drawing with the family. We spend the day leisurely doodling with our kid/kids in our bed with nothing but crayons. The art pieces range from terribly goofy to optimistic attempts.

Dropping the kids off at my moms so we could have a day together but we end up just talking about them then rush back to pick them up 😊💛
