Most Bastil cant swim! and like Commander says its because they don't have enough room in their chests for their lungs to expand-- AKA they suck at holding their breath. If you guys remember the wing diagram I did a long time ago for this comic-- youll remember that their "energy pouches" sit in the center of their shoulders behind the lungs.

 Oh! And Luca does not know how to swim (yet) in this comic. Boys gonna learn tho.
