Really great reaction! I have to agree that there are hits and misses from both albums and there is a great middle album between the two. I actually tend to gravitate towards the first half because I find the songs more memorable, but I appreciate the overall soundscape of the second half (I'm a folklore girlie). I appreciate how mature and honest the writing is and how Taylor doesn't sanitize and polish it for our benefit. She puts everything on her mind in the songs. It can feel disjointed and all over the place but that's purposeful and represents Taylor's feelings at the moment. HOWEVER, The Black Dog is incredible and I cannot stop listening to it! It's such a unique sound we haven't gotten from Taylor. It's honestly in my top 10 Taylor tracks of all time and is fighting hard for my number one spot. So High School is quite excellent, too.

omg vanderpump reference LMAO, id love to hear ur thoughts on this season lol esp scheana n lala and their attempt on a tom redemption victim season

“If this is how the second half sounds, we’re in” is exactly what I thought during the black dog lmaoo

Guys thank you so much for giving the second part a try (I knew you would tho). tbh this reaction made me understand better why you are not Folkmore girlies, I finally got it lol But seriously, I low key don't get the "bitching and moaning" about the double album, it's not the same as overexposure. sure it's a lot and we all joke about it, but to cry all over the internet about it as some people do (especially the ones who don't listen to her - like wtf why do you even care if there's too many songs if you're not gonna listen anyway?). I personally think it's a no skip album - I like some songs more than others obvs but they are all so well crafted that I would hate the idea that they existed and I did not know about them... so let people listen and take an example of one gay Mat, do your own playlist, listen to whatever you like from the overwhelming choices you have and everyone is happy! let's just stop wishing that these songs did not exist, because someone is relating to them and loves them and that's why Taylor released it anyway :)

Thanks for the review guys...I am still on the first half of the album...it will probably take me another week to get to the second half (LOL!), but it was really nice to hear it for the first time in your review! And no worries about my name...that was so sweet of you guys to notice! Feel free to call me Preethy (my patreon nickname) or Preetha (my real name)! My teachers used to call me 'Preethy' in school, but I was too scared to correct them! LOL!...but, so lovely that you guys noticed! Hope you guys are having a great day!

Soooo glad yall listened. I don’t understand people shitting on this album - it is so much more listenable than folklore, evermore, midnights, and 1989 (yeah, I said it). Those felt so pretentious and put on, and this just feels much more organic. Even the songs I don’t love, I was at least humming a little by the end. I could not name half the songs on her last 3 records if my life depended on it. I MAY stop hating Jack for a while out of gratitude. But the production of Speak Now TV is still a mutilation of a GOAT album

Super excited to see this! Thank you guys for all of your work and for bringing such great smiles too people like me out there who are also Taylor Swift fans!

Now I see what it’s like when you don’t like a song during a listening party 😂 just complete silence and “I’m glad that song is there 🫤” lol too funny

Sara Beth

This album is really reflecting her revisiting both Rep and Debut for rerecordings/vault. That combined with the sounds from midnights 👌🏻

Meredith Mettetal

I've been saying for days it's Red. There are folklore/evermore feelings, but these are waaaayyyyy better

Emily

I’m a folklore and evermore girly so of course I absolutely love these 2 albums from top to bottom ❤️

You got me, I had to DL Patreon. I have been listening to Taylor since Debut. I may not always love everything but lyrically I think she is top notch. I did listen to both albums when they dropped and was overwhelmed. I really enjoyed your review and didn’t really disagree with you too much. This really helped me wrap my head around the entire album(s).

Kathleen Anderson

The Bolter when she is failing through when she was six line could be what it felt like during reputation with Joe and her public persona at the time

Marissa

Love your reaction, and how you always try to say something nice even though, sometimes, it is hard. (Robin, I really don’t know what to say about you.) I LOVE The Black Dog, How Did It End? and The Manuscript but agree not all of The Anthology sounds great. And I’m a big fan of evermore. But I do think the lyrics are some of her best (part 1 included). This unhinged, dark Taylor is indeed tortured but also very funny and might be my fave kind of Taylor. The entire album makes me feel many more feelings than Midnights. I guess I like drama?

Camille Garcia

Thank you both, I thoroughly enjoyed your guys reaction to the first half on YouTube, had to come over to Patreon to see the full 2nd half, and very happy I did! Thank you both for a great reaction!

Kim McDonald

This was super-fun to watch. Thank you both so much. So thoughtful and honest...and funny! - that's why I love you both. I came over from YouTube for this reaction and I'll stay cuz it feels great to help support your talent ✨️

Christina Struckmeyer

The Black Dog is my favorite from TTPD, full stop. I am willing her to go that direction with her future music.

Heidi

My sister described Matty Healy as a human cigarette and I’ve never heard a more accurate description 😂
