I still don’t really understand your takes on Reputation haha. For me personally, the whole album is an entire vibe - it’s so cohesive and then comes the mandatory ballad that’s like one of her worst ballads tbh (even though Call It What You Want could definitely also suffice as a ballad from Reputation, so it wasn’t even THAT necessary to have New Year’s Day). So for me personally, New Year’s Day has always been THE skip off of Reputation because if I’m in the mood for Reputation I’m not going to be listening to a weepy piano ballad haha.

clean clears a lot of taylor's discography if we're being honest. like, there's certain songs of taylor's that i like to say "give red"(bc imo red is her best work lyrically), and Clean gives red!
