Hey y'all!

Now that Taylor's released The Eras Tour - The Final Show on Disney+ we just HAD to watch the The Tortured Poets Department section that wasn't included in the original film! We both made playlists of our favorite TTPD tracks (since 31 tracks is too many SORRY!), and we wanted to give you Spotify links to OUR versions of the album along with this reaction since we wanted to see which one of us had more of our tracks performed:

Palmer's Version: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/7F61EFxUn3H1OzHX03WkBV?si=7fb228f247df4089

Steele's Version: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/3VPEAmou06xoQWjNOzXj5X?si=w1RQVEJORoSrGA2zXm2ZFw&pi=qt7h-Xj8R6Gqj (Note: Standard Edition tracks ends with Clara Bow)

Enjoy!

Hi, the video is removed ?

The documentary is soooo amazing! you guys should definitely watch even though you won't react and just do a quick what did you think. It is gut wrenching beautiful. Also... I would have replaced fortnight with my boy, but i understand as a single she had to include fortnight in there. And I would have replaced Down Bad with Guilty As Sin? or the title track. The title track to me is so underrated!!!!!!

Melissa

She did incorporate all the songs ya’ll were missing (LOML, black dog, my boy only breaks his favorite toys, etc.) into the acoustic set. So she did have her at the piano or with a guitar moment but of course it wasn’t part of the set list every show unfortunately.

Loved this reaction. Really liked the choices Taylor made, although I don't like Down Bad that much compared to most of the other songs, so wouldn't have put that in the concert, lol. Was inspired by y'all's versions of TTPD, so decided to make my own! I like to listen to albums as whole pieces of storytelling rather than individual songs, so the songs I picked served the purpose of a narrative throughline: 1. The Black Dog 2. The Tortured Poets Department 3. My Boy Only Breaks His Favorite Toys 4. imgonnagetyouback 5. loml 6. Fresh Out the Slammer 7. But Daddy I Love Him 8. I Can Fix Him 9. The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived 10. I Hate It Here 11. The Prophecy 12. I Can Do It With a Broken Heart 13. Clara Bow 14. Who's Afraid of Little Old Me? 15. The Bolter 16. The Manuscript P.S. It's a literal crime y'all left off The Prophecy on both your versions! :D

This is cracking me up…you two wondering what she did with the tour after TTPD as if it’s still top secret. Your excitement for this made me feel it again! 🫶🏼

To put some of your worries to rest, I will explain the changes made to The Eras Tour setlist when the TTPD set was introduced: 1. The order of the eras changed: • Original order: Lover, Fearless, evermore, reputation, Speak Now, Red, folklore, 1989, Acoustic, Midnights • Updated order: Lover, Fearless, Red, Speak Now, reputation, folklore/evermore, 1989, TTPD, Acoustic, Midnights 2. The songs cut: • The Archer, Long Live, tolerate it, the 1, and the last great american dynasty 3. She combined folklore and evermore into a single era: • folkmore Setlist: cardigan, betty, champagne problems, august/illicit affairs, my tears ricochet, marjorie, willow 4. The Fearless, Red, reputation, 1989, and Midnights sections went untouched

Please do a reaction of the new surprise song set!

I think she chose the songs that she could make the most visual and dramatic. I personally love the Down Bad section bc of the spaceship with the spotlight. It was nice and short too. Fortnite was too long. I appreciate your shoutouts to the title track. I love how sparkly the outro is but can see why it’s not in this segment.

Fun fact, But Daddy I love him is actually interpreted as a Travis Song in some perspectives. “Floor it through the fences” is a reference to her and Travis leaving in his car after his game (an iconic moment for their relationship) “we came back when the heat died down”, “me and my wild boy and all of this wild joy” etc. which makes sense since she mashed it up with So high school! (The archer pose was an homage to Travis’s pose in the NFL!)

Lish Marie

The performance of I Can Do It With a Broken Heart was so meta because she incorporated dances and moments that were already in the Eras tour into the choreography of that performance. As if performing a song about a tour you are still on wasn't meta enough!
