If you use the Patreon app on iPhone or iPad to subscribe, Apple adds extra fees and taxes, and it can really add up.

A $10 tier might end up costing you around $14.50, just because of how Apple handles in-app purchases. It’s frustrating, but they do take a cut from every transaction.

✅ The best way to avoid this is to subscribe through a browser — on your phone or computer. That way, you’ll only pay the actual tier price with no unexpected extras.
