Hey Droogies!

I launched this account last night before bed, and woke up to being past my first goal, and half-way to my second goal!

W O W.

Much appreciation!

Thanks everyone!

To celebrate, here's page 1 of a 7 pager I wrote and painted back in 19fucking92, back when TNG was on the air, and painting comics with actual paint was all the rage. This originally appeared in "Grunge" comics, a xerox affair put together by my fellow art-school students who had taken Barron Storey's first ever Graphic Novel class.

It hasn't been published anywhere else, so dig in.

Oh, and yes, I am a geek... this story is an adaptation of a dream I actually had.

So painting comics with actual paint? Is this acrylic? Or gauche?

Dave Davenport (dogspunk)

Acrylic, gauche is too fragile... unless you are doing a mixed media job like Bill Sienkiewicz used to do. He learned that technique from Barron Storey. I'll see if I can dig up a piece done with that style. Part of it involved mixing gauche with acrylic matte medium, and doing transparent tinted layers... and lots of fixative. I'm sure I lost a handful of brain cells with that one.
