Upcoming Demo Patch – Next Tuesday (Sept 2) (Patreon)
Content
Hello dear Patrons!
We’ve been reflecting on the feedback you all (and the wider community) have given us, and we’ve made a series of changes and improvements that will land in next week’s demo update.
Here’s what’s coming:
Demo Progress
Ivy + Doe combo
This duo synergized a bit too well, especially with bad RNG.
We’ve made sure you won’t encounter them in your first couple of battles anymore, giving players breathing room to collect Dust and get a feel for the game.
Doe: HP reduced by ~15%, heal power reduced by 30%.
Ivy: clones are now weaker (about 50% of Ivy’s strength), have a new name and color.
Foxy’s Wheel
Spin duration reduced by 30% (still has anticipation, less waiting).
Ambush results now return you back to Foxy automatically, instead of the node map.
First Mimic chest
The first chest you open will now be guaranteed safe. Later chests can still be Mimics… after all, that false sense of safety is part of the fun!
Luck scaling
Luck was too strong and felt mandatory.
Its effect has been reduced by 25%, but enemy rewards have been increased by 25% to balance progression.
Ivy & Visual Pace
Ivy’s movement speed doubled to reduce the sluggish feel of her walk cycle.
Enemy boost after boss
The old system doubled enemy stats after the boss — often mistaken for scaling.
This boost has been removed; enemies will now stay consistent throughout the demo.
Sound Settings
Volume controls added to the starting screen and active scene.
Individual sound balancing still needs reviewing, but at least now you have general control in multiple places.
Full Game Progress (Sneak Peek)
We also tackled two major mechanics for the full release:
Map transitions – after defeating a boss, you’ll be able to progress to a new map with unique enemies, events, challenges, story pieces, and bosses.
Hard Battle nodes – the shield icon (currently used for the demo boss) will be reserved for special high-difficulty encounters with bigger rewards.
Minor Fixes
Pause menu no longer overlaps with options menus (prevents accidental “Quit to Desktop”).
Victory screen is now focused automatically and can be skipped with a single click.
Fair Trade event bug fixed (trading 0 MP no longer leaves you at 1 MP).
Release Date
The updated demo is scheduled for release next Tuesday, Sept 2nd.In the meantime, we’re testing the changes to make sure they all work as intended.
Thank you for your support — your feedback has been invaluable in shaping this game!
