IT crowd is by the same writers as Father Ted, so just like that show, it starts off great but then somehow manages to get even better! I think you’ll love this. I can see the comparison to Big Bang Theory, but it’s a different style of humour, and (in my opinion) way funnier!

This is FAR better than the Big Bang Theory😂the nerds and the pretty girl thing is pretty much where the similarites end. Katherine Parkinson did such a great job with Jen, next episode you'll see how bonkers she can get!

Also regarding the theme tune, Neil Hannon wrote the theme tunes and most of the music for Father Ted and IT crowd, including the classic ‘My Lovely Horse’. He’s made some really interesting music over the years (was in a band called The Divine Comedy).

On a completely unrelated note. Comic Strip Presents was a great show, must reccomend THE STRIKE: A former Welsh miner writes a hard-hitting film script about his experiences of the 1984 Miner's Strike. Hollywood takes that and turns it into a ludicrously sensationalist and anachronistic action film. Stars Al Pacino (not the real one) playing Arthur Scargill (leader of the strike)😄 It had a lot of comedy talent, most notably French & Saunders and Rik Mayall & Ade Edminson. I used to be a computer technician at a college, and yes, the vast majority of what I did was exactly like this. One of the staff constantly had me coming out because the cleaning staff would unplug their computer in the evenings to use the socket and leave the socket switched off. They never once checked it first despite obviously knowing that was the problem. That was pretty infuriating.

I went through the lot on Netflix a few years ago. Always liked those early seasons, but then it became a real chore to watch the rest😅when you start to dislike most of the characters, that can happen. Black Books is also really good, the next time you've got a free slot😉

Black Books is a good shout! Graham Linehan is an expert in writing & casting three lead actors who all bounce off each other so well. Yeah I had a weird hate-love-hate relationship with the Big Bang Theory. When it first aired it felt like a really formulaic sitcom, but then I got to quite like the characters (still think Jim Parsons is a really good actor). But yeah, after a few seasons that just wasn't enough and it became quite painful to watch.

I worked in IT and was once challenged by someone on the rebooting solution, I told them that it was what we did ourselves when we had problems. Further investigation is required if the problem is recurring but that's the exception.
