Happy hump day! (And yes! I was right! It is Slughorn... aka Jim Broadbent 😆)

Interesting fact, Inspector Slater (Paul Broadbent) was originally offered the part of Del Boy, but he turned it down at the last minute, that is why Rodney (Nicholas Lyndhurst) was casted as his brother, one of the reasons for being tall. David Jason stepped in at the last minute, but they had to work with it as Nicholas Lyndhurst had already signed the contracts. Paul Broadbent has had a wonderful hollywood career and yes you are right, he was in Harry Potter. Paul Broadbent has said in numerous interviews he regretted that decision. Great reaction Megan

oh interesting! So Only Fools and Horses could have looked much different. Thanks William! 😊

William

David Jason was brilliant as Del Boy, but I think Paul Broadbent would have been excellent also. Imagine him as Del Boy, I can see it

William

LOL, yes you are correct. My boss is called Paul Broadbent, i did not even notice

Henry Normal

who the hell is Paul Broadbent, his name is Jim Broadbent, and you can't write either. "Was casted" is an interesting use of grammar, and Jim has stared in mostly British films, not much in Hollywood.

BLIMEY, you have some idiots as members.

Jim Broadbent is a legend he is so good in the role of the slimey horrible Slater, I won't spoil anything but fortunately (for us not The Trotters) this isn't the last we see of him he's the character we love to hate.

Ghost

She does have some idiots as members, like you. Jim has "starred" in mostly British films, not stared. You should learn how to spell 😂.
