That was a throughly enjoyable review Megan, a few thoughts, The only thing I can recall John Cleese doing afterwards that was similar to Fawlty towers would be the movies Clockwise (1986) which is very farcial and a fish called Wanda from 88/89 is is really funny. But heck 16 quid for a cocktail, I can get a couple of cases of lager up here for that price :P. Have a great weekend.

Hi Megan. Very interesting to hear your review and I am glad you enjoyed the play. I can imaging how difficult it is to transfer a TV sitcom onto the stage, deciding which scenes to include and which to leave out. Also of course the actors have to be believable as those characters that the audience have come to know and love. I recently saw the Only Fools and Horses stage show and my experience was very similar. Some scenes were immediately recognised and cheered by the audience, but others left people slightly confused. Similarly, some of the actors were perfectly suited and basically impersonated the original cast, whilst some were less convincing. Overall I hope you agree that the tradition of keeping our nations favourite sitcoms alive in this form is a worthy project.

so glad you enjoyed and sounds like you had a wonderful day. Bloody £16, not a chance I would pay that. There is an Americain version of Faulty towers, its lingering about on youtube somewhere. Totally terrible and rightly axed after season 1

😂 I don't blame you! Oh is there? Why am I not surprised it was axed so soon... 😆

Hi Phil! I'm glad we agree! Yes, it must have been a challenge for them to decide what to put in! Overall I think they did a pretty good job.

MeganRuth

Thank you!! I'm glad you enjoyed it 😊 Yes, I've heard of both of those films. I definitely need to react to them! 😂 Yeah it's mental! You too :)

MeganRuth

oh dear no wonder it was axed! Even Betty White couldn't save it 😅
