Hey guys! I was really debating making this video as I try not to get too political on my channel, and also considering my last Jonathan Pie reaction had mixed responses. But as recent developments State-side have drastically affected my country I feel less obliged to stay quiet about it. There were some laughs though so it wasn't all doom and gloom! (Maybe my next Jonathan Pie reaction should be something a bit less depressing? 😅)

Great reaction Megan, like you I try not to get too political. I am sickened at what is happening across the pond with that man child and his behavior, how I wish I could say our politicians are better but we have Farage and sadly I can see him doing well if he is still involve in '29. Please pardon my French but either Trump or Farage give a rats arse about anyone else but themselves. I left X the day Musk took over.

Why I don’t like Trump? I thought that was obvious. He’s bullying my country for no good reason. The tariffs he’s imposing will be incredibly detrimental for Canada and hurt my friends and family. There are many other reasons but that’s the main one at the moment.

Feel for you Megan, solidarity with Canada! Also solidarity with all my American friends, who hate Trump, but were also utterly despairing at the total mess of the Democratic campaign before the election (and also to be fair, did not like Biden’s administration much). I get the strong feeling that most Americans are not either MAGA or hard left, but just trying to pay their bills and enjoy life!

I really meant Farage Megan as I am Btitish. Why should the USA tax payer's money subsidise Canada to the tune of $200b per year? Why isn't Canada paying the agreed GDP percentage towards N.A.T.O? Most of that can be easily explained by economists and trade experts. The US isn't subsidising Canada. The US imports more from Canada than Canada imports from the US because the US has more people thus causing a trade deficit. I agree Canada should increase its defence spending, but losing us as a trade ally will only harm Americans as the US relies on our natural resources. The cost of moving all manufacturing to the US would be incredibly expensive and would take years. It would lose companies billions of dollars. I don't think you understand the complications of North American trade. Car parts alone are built in multiple countries and are constantly crossing borders. The US does not produce enough oil to sustain the population and cannot realistically drill enough to replace the Canadian oil it imports. All of your information about Trudeau comes from right wing populist propaganda. I urge you to talk to actual Canadians on both sides of the political spectrum before forming opinions about a country you don't even live in. As for Nigel Farage, he is the textbook definition of a populist politician. He lies all the time, particularly about immigration, because he's using us as a scapegoat in order to garner support. This is exactly what Trump did and it's what the Nazis did in Germany. Replace Jews with immigrants. As an immigrant myself, I can tell you the anti immigrant rhetoric Farage spews is revolting. I urge you to stop watching GB news, get of Twitter, and listen to experts. Please.

He's encouraging Canadians to buy Canadian made products because they will be cheaper if tariffs come into place. His speech wasn't about making sure the US economy crashes, it was about protecting Canadians against price increases. This is the problem with MAGA, you think everything is about attacking the other side. You have such a war mentality. I honestly don't think we can have a conversation about this. It's upsetting to me there are still people who support Trump after everything he has done his first two weeks in office. I appreciate your support on here but I'd rather not continue this conversation further because at this point it's less about correcting misinformation, and more about a drastic difference in values and morals.

Farage/UK Trump supporters are unbelievable. They spent the post brexit vote bleating on about the commonwealth but as soon as Trump threatens Canada they back him all the way. Then there is those who supposedly support the royal family but conveniently forget it when Trump says he wants to annex the UK and then Canada. News Flash!! If Trump becomes the president of the UK The Royal family is no more. Sycophants, all of them. I remember the eighties when probably all of my colleagues and peers were racist. By the 2000s the world had become a better place. Now pretty much all of my UK friends have embraced racism again. They are like childish schoolground bullies . I'm so pleased I moved to Australia. I still have hope that most Brits are on the right side! The UK is a much more secular nation than the US so the threat of Christian nationalism isn't as apparent.

so glad there are so many people brainwashed by politics , having a iq above 80 means i can just ignore all politics and live my life as me and not immediately judge people based on what "team" they are on , feels good man :) had 30+ years of not knowing the difference between a lib person and what ever the other thing is, truly is great! it does feel like im the only person in a zoo sometimes though , at least its always free and open , just for me and a select few others xD when you know how insanely small our time is through out the whole of time of the universe it makes it all so much easier , a perfect example is the video "journey to the end of time" by melody sheep on youtube , the most humbling video out there, btw meg that would be a great reaction! peace 🕊️
