Season 2 synopses Kryten: The crew attempt to seduce three corpses, and Rimmer exploits a mentally ill slave. Better Than Life: Rimmer’s dad dies, so he goes and ruins everyone’s fun. Thanks for the Memory: Lister destroys Rimmer’s life and then wipes everyone’s memory. Stasis Leak: Three million years ago, Rimmer suffers a drug-induced nervous breakdown and paints Cap. Hollister green. Queeg: Holly nearly kills Lister with an electric shock, so Holly fakes his own death to prove a point. Parallel Universe: Lister has a really elaborate wank.

Series 3 has a strikingly different feel to it, but try to ignore any discomfort from the changes first time watching the next one. It's a great first episode but episode 2 was filmed first and is much better for adjusting to it than episode 1, so just hang in there if you're a bit flummoxed to begin with and trust us!

I don’t know whether you’ve watched S3 E1 (Backwards) yet but if not, just be aware it’s a bit of an aberration and doesn’t fit in with S2 or S3. I think it was a rushed filler episode (may have been a writers’ strike, I can’t quite remember) but they released it as E1 so it makes even less sense than it would if shown in order. Rest of the series is great though ☺️

I actually met Hattie Hayridge (the actress playing Hilly) during my first Comicon. A really lovely, down to earth lady.
