I love Red Dwarf and my fave era is series 3-6, the writing goes up another level IMHO, and that convo about Wilma Flintstone gets me every time. This was a great reaction Megan and well done on spotting the pie continuity error. I can't imagine how hard it must had been to film that whole scene. The mischeivous soul in me wanted to post this in esrever.

If you haven't checked it out yet this is the full text of the opening scrawl that details what happened between Series 2 & 3 including why Holly has a new face (at least from an in universe perspective): https://reddwarf.co.uk/series/3/scrolling/

Was thinking it would be nice to get a Red Dwarf ep today, and you did not disappoint 😉 The first time and won't be the last, that this show gets a complete redesign! The new set feels a lot like something out of Alien. Breaking out my bottle of MADRI out for this one I think

Stevo

My favourite show 😁

Long ago, somebody reversed this recording to uncover the dialogue. This is what Arthur Smith had to say to them: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nNWGcYcBklE Burn 😂 He's a respected comedian, though I don't think I've seen any of his material before. He used to host the Comedy Club on Radio 4Extra very often, back when I used to listen to that a lot into the night

The fight started because some guy attacked Lister as soon as he came in. Lister didn't help by pulling a cheerful guy's tooth out. The pie came at the END of the fight 🤔

Tony HAWK is the skater. Tony HAWKS is the guy in this episode and several others.

The different intro music is the music that was used at the end of the episodes on series 1 and 2. It's the same melody as the slow, dramatic version, but sped up. Holly decided to have, and this the canonical description, "a head sex change" and adopt Hilly's appearance. So this talking computer head is Holly, but with a new actor.

Allan Middleton

I think you mean a bottle of Carling since, despite it's name, it's just a slightly different brew lol

MeganRuth

a head sex change 😂 brilliant!

MeganRuth

ahh I missed that! I thought the fight started because Lister ate the guy's pie 😆

MeganRuth

😂 brilliant! And so clever saying that knowing someone would probably reverse the recording. Thanks for sharing Brodie! 😆

MeganRuth

ahh yes I totally missed that! That answers a lot of questions. Thanks Danny!

MeganRuth

Thanks David! I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'm definitely looking forward to watching more! 😆

If that were the case he'd have punched him just "Before" the pie 😵 There's a whole Red Dwarf novel about it. No spoilers but backwards sex is involved.

Skytrapal (Alastair)

The cat at the end will always make me laugh. It just the fact he tried to do a number 2 and forgot where he was is what sells it.
