Is work experience a thing in Canada? It's a good idea in principle but I think most of us here remember it as a pretty depressing waste of 2 weeks just sitting in an office doing nothing!

It’s not mandatory but there are optional co op courses you can take that involve working at specific jobs. Most of them were hands on if I recall (mechanics and such) I would have hated working in an office!
