Even without the kink side of things I love scars and bruises... Thanks to iron deficiency I sometimes end up with huge bruises.. it's so fascinating the way that they transform as they heal. I refer to the best ones as nebula bruises [particularly the helix/eye of god nebula] because of the fact that they are so colorful and usually end up with that center that's gone back to normal before the rest. It sounds so cliché but I do wear my scars like badges of honor.. Whether it's from one of my far too many surgeries for my age because it reminds me that I can handle a lot of tough shit.. [even if my boobs are all jacked up now.. 😢]. or scars that are from doing something stupid; ie reaching up for glass jars of marinara sauce on my tip toes instead of grabbing the step stool 5 yards away.. while at work when there is no way for me to get the 15-20 stitches i needed because literally cannot leave work for another 10hrs [I'm a nanny and my bosses are often out of town or they are literally in charge of running lights, sound, and video at concerts and things like the dang NFL draft]. It's a reminder that there's a chance that impatience and cutting corners could be real bad news... Really random novel.. Sorry. Sometimes I just need to get these thoughts out of my head.. I just love physical markings like that.. No one's ever emotionally marked me in a nonabusive way. 😢
