Up until now, Goblinz has been a pretty straightforward transfer of my Classless Skill Tree from D&D into a new lil system for it to exist and breath and spread it’s roots.

But what I’m struggling with now is trying to establish its own identity. As of right now, its just a fancy D&D clone, with no unique throughline of its own.

So I’ve hit a juncture where I can Ignore that and accept what it is- OR

…I break it!

Shatter it into pieces and use those to rebuild something brand new from the ground up.

The Magical Threads really interest me, and ultimately I think this game should be a game where you “slowly become a lil freak” the more you level up and develop as an Adventurer.

But how do I do that?

One option right now is looking at putting my Magic Threads into the skill tree and build it around them?

The more you focus on a thread, the weirder you become and the more tangled in that thread you become as it slowly takes you over.

What are people’s thoughts of this?

So far it’s very tricky to get that Exactly how I want it without losing what I already have.

What should I do folks 😱 ??

Breaking the system and entwining them with the tree is a phenomenal idea

I'm super into the idea. Especially making it a thing where all creatures have a thread or threads sounds like a fun unique mechanism that matters more than for example Resonance in VTM. My only other thought, don't settle. I know you're more than creative enough to make something completely new. Don't be happy with just a clone of dnd.

Your ttrpg al ready is better rhan d&d and the identity is see in it is the huge quantity of options it has! Skill trees are really tye best in personalizzation so i epuld just add this new tree as anither option with corruptimg mixed in
