...who patiently wait for my next set 🙏🏻 Thank you so much that you stay with me, it's not self-evident for me (hope that's the correct English way to say that xD).

Since there wasn't a fanfiction like the one before this time, I thought of something...different for you. Something...with a twist. Fitting for these two souls fighting for the upper hand.

Let me know if you found the specialty here & YES, I would be honored to hear your interpretations 👀

Interpretations you say..... - cracks his knuckles - - Starts writing - I mean i knew you would come up with something good...but that you come with the Ballad of Jill Valentine i didn't see coming. The reason why i think it is a ballad is that they usually have 3-6 Verses and we have 6 here and it is usually telling about an occasion about the protagonists life as we have here the passionate agony Jill goes through while being brainwashed and broken by wesker and the small line between pleasure and torture. I know ballads can be about irony and humor too but i guess we have here the kind of with a not so happy ending since the souls are now "equal" going through the dark night means ( at least for me ) Jill's downfall under Wesker's control. BUT not only do you keep the lyrical form of a Ballad you even brought order to the chaos using lots of sentenses from your captions here in the text and you even used some aspects of the views of us here.i read the comments of the others too and i think to recall some of the views of everyone here, which would be really cool if our views and your intention to express would converge into the ballad of Jill Valentine. And even the pics could be sorted to the verses. This came out awesome and you should feel awesome. I read this with much pleasure since it is beautifully written.

Ohhh how much I am pleased that you took the challenge -nods approvingly- And that's quite the interpretation, I like it! Indeed I might not only have recalled my captions but maybe also some comments... 😌 And if you're up for another round, try a different...hm, perspective for maybe a bit different of a direction. Don't forget, we have a fight going on here, maybe even a dance of these equal souls :D

Ahh I love this! There's a lot to digest here but I think I understand the 'twist' you mentioned. I'll put it briefly. I am pretty sure Jill is the one saying "I'll make you mine." She still has the will to fight back but not in the way she wants or is currently allowed. She has to beat Wesker at his own game because he still holds control. In a way, Jill is becoming like Wesker. And if she is, Wesker wins no matter what because he manipulating her to think and react the way he wants her to.

Ohhh right....now you say it...i didn't get the hint you were giving away in the title the first time and i was forgetting my own words...the duality of the pictures...pleasure or pain...is mirrowed here too and even in a very smart way as we hear the inner voices of both (i think) how their minds are about to establish/keep the dominance and feeling the passion and the agony of the situation and giving away their motives. It is as you indicate like a dance where is s back and forth of the inner voices and who takes the lead of the dance.one does their steps and the other taked the corresponding ones. But it is more like Capoera than a Waltz since this is a fight. I forgot about the rebellious fragments of Jill the pics transmitted...while Wesker is playing his game Jill is playing hers to win this battle in the long run. I was so focusing of the tragedy of Jill being brainwashed that i forgot my own words that there was a moment where it was like Wesker is trapped with Jill and not the other way. Jill isn't lost yet...she is still fighting in the only way that is left. While Wesker thinks he has already won. Reading it over and over again i see that back and forth of inner voice motivation and the pleasure both feel playing their game and even if there is a back and forth i think there is one line they both speak/think together like a uni sono voiceline which is "I'll make you mine" (it is writren italic and bold that needs to mean something) but "Try me /Do as i say" could also be moments their thoughts and motivation overlap. This is a kind of closeness that could be romantic if the intention behind it wouldn't be so twisted. Thank you for your suggestion..in the first post i was more thinking about the form than content and function. And i know that i still haven't unlocked all of your metaphors and intentions...or possibilities to see it but like a good game this has a high replay potential....so i am sure i will read it some more times and adjust my view on the whole thing.

Yes yes yes, there we go 👀 I mean, EVERYTHING is free for interpretations, that's the point of art I guess, but I am very much with you here! And yes, the "I make you mine" line could be said by both, same with the "Try me/Do as I say". The thing is, maybe I mention that now, it's a palindromic poem/mirrored poem. You can read it backwards (not word-wise ofc, but sentence-wise). The forward read is Jill's perspective, the backward read is Wesker's one.

Ohhh that is sooo good! Like you're describing it, her becoming him and that's making him winning in the end after all. I tried to incorporate that with the "equal souls" an the "crimson" (with Wesker's eyes / Jill's "heart/P30 injector") but reading that interpretation gives me shivers!

Ohhh that is a nice detail...wasn't prepared for that ...that is really impressive....will now read it the other way around to get the complete picture. Thank you...that was and is still REAL fun to do and will keep me busy for sometime longer.

Am writing from Jill's perspective: - Starts with fear. - Fear turns to anger. - Anger turns to hate. - Hate turns to uncertainty. - Uncertain of what she is feeling. - Am I enjoying this? Am I wanting this?...Ends. Now it leaves to our imaginations what happened that night.

Oooh now that you mentioned it's a mirrored poem, it makes it so much cooler! The reason why I think Jill is becoming like him is through the fourth verse alone. He's inviting her to play his game like a test in a way. "Such a proud crown to break" is such a good line. Despite her inner struggles, she already lost by submitting to his rules and it shows in the continuation of the poem whether you read it forwards or backwards. When I thought about "equal souls," I was thinking more about equal to whom. And of course I go by Wesker's standards. So maybe this dance of equal souls is only a dance to Jill just to prolong her sense of control. But it's more of a game to Wesker. We can still incorporate the crimson of Jill's heart and Wesker's eyes into my interpretation if we think about it more metaphorically. Dances are passionate and emoting which can represent Jill's heart, her internal struggles. Games are tactical and sometimes you have to make bold moves (like inviting the enemy to strike first, verse 4) which can represent Wesker's ever observing eyes. I hope I'm not reading too deep into it lol. But it's super fun to dissect literature. Amazing work as always 💜

That was an amazing read and there is so much to unpack with this one. Jill is stuck between the pleasure and torture while being held captive by Wesker. She feels like she is losing pieces of herself to him little by little as his brainwashing takes hold and she can't help but feel ashamed for wanting to give in. But there is still a spark of defiance in her that no matter how hard he tries it will never be extinguished its flame.

Oh yes, I love that! Especially the game-interpretation for Wesker's view. When I wrote it it felt like a dance where he's leading, her being like on puppeteer's strings then resisting, pulling to take the lead, him accepting the challenge to keep his control - and always having a smile on his lips while she's desperate losing herself to him in that moment. Thank you a lot for your words! <3 <3 <3
