Was hurt so badly be girls for being different that when a girl expressed interest in me, I was distrustful and distance. It cost me quite a few potentially good relationships. Until I met the ONE! Like your characters in the Nerd Boy stories. She pushed back by standoffishness and pulled down my emotional defenses. She claimed me as her own way before I ever said, “you’re my one and only”. Now she’s my wife, 21 years of marriage with two beautiful teenage daughters. And she is making sure to reach our daughters just how precious the nerd boys can be. Keep up the great story telling!
