E17 - Kyoto Sister School Exchange Event - Group Battle 3 Well now we're sad. 😭Estranged sisters are a major weakness!! But beyond that, this episode was really great. Super interesting to see a bit of Mai and Maki's past/dynamic. Maki is a beast and we love it! Excited to see more as always! Thanks for watching with us and we'll see you for the next one.-Haylo & Kiss 💕

I never cried at that part but seeing my two favorite girls tear up got me.😢

you two are so precious 😭❤ I feel honored that you granted us, your viewers and followers, to witness such a private moment of yours showing your love for one another! Reach out for our love, from your supporters, flowing back❣ you're the best

The shows structure can be confusing at times because it falls back on Japanese culture. i.e. identical twins are a sign of misfortune. I think that superstition came from pre-modern Buddhism, which was the era of monks getting paid to “exorcise demons”

Usopp Hammer! Usopp Hammer! Usopp Hammer! Rubberband of Doom! Usopp Hammer! -me every time the squeaky hammer comes out

i have tried putting milk and dried chili in chicken flavoured instant noodles because of this show and i can confirm its pretty good. it kinda turns it into lontong kinda, which is a dish we have here in SEA.

You two ladies are very beautiful souls and great sisters. I add a few more tears to those I have shed with you.

Utsav Raj

this is my favourite episode from s1 so I’d been waiting for this reaction from you but the sisters reacting to sisters angle never hit me 😭 watching sisters react to it made me love the episode even more. thank you <3

There is many superstition around twins in many cultures. Superstitions are usually justification of some fear of an incident. For twins, the theorized cause of the fear is that the mother wouldnt have enough to feed both since they are drawing from the same well. So she would either have to kill one or give one to another nursing mother, which would condemn her child to starve. The superstitions that came as a justification are: one of the twin is a demon that physically copied the baby during pregnancy, or they are split soul( meaning sub human), or cursed, etc... Jjk families seems to be purist and traditionalist.

first of all, YA'LL ARE SO CUTE OH MY GOD😭♡, second lol, i was excited for this ep to come because i had the feeling that it would hit you hard just like it does to me haha, as someone who has sisters, their relationship is lowkey torture lol, cause just like hayley said, you can't help but imagine how that would feel like with your own sibling. i love the writing here, both of them were born into the same cruel environment but they are clear opposites of each other, maki's response to being treated as a failure was independence and resolve to find her way into the jujutsu world on her own, while mai is ok with just being an average person, that alone gives their relationship and their characters a lot of depth in my opinion! women are treated poorly in shonen, so i love what the author did in this ep, literally dedicated to the girlies lol, the nobara and nishimiya dialogue was also really good! loved the reaction♡ so excited for the next few episodes

Heavenly restriction is just random at birth nobody makes those pacts…maki got it and mechamaru but both allow them to do different things while also taking stuff from them in a way.

Bri

Ahhh love watching yall because your not afraid to get invested and emotionally attached to the characters.

Zain kb

mai is not bad she’s just a complex character and i love how you both seem to sympathize with her, they’re both tragic characters and i love them, but not many ppl can understand and sympathize with mai. and also I got emotional when i saw you crying ): you guys so precious 💕 great reaction

beannie

you'll learn more about heavenly pacts in the future, right now you just need to remember what they've revealed so far: 2 character's have been introduced with one: maki and mechamaru (that's the name of the robot but i think they haven't revealed the students name yet). mechamaru: he was born with a fragile body but in exchange he has a vast amount of cursed energy and can control it from far distances. maki: she was born with no cursed energy but with insane physical ability's. the opposite to mechamaru. a heavenly pact can't be placed by will, it's random and the name itself explains that it's given by the "heavens". and i think that's about it so far! we'll help you if you get lost at some point🕺

MikeyD

Heavenly pacts are something you are born with they're not like other pacts

Is it me or did everything in your home page disappear?? Thankfully you had collection and I was able to see the video, and oh man this is going to be an amazing series ❤️

my 2nd favorite anime of all time after One Piece. JJK is really action heavy which I personally love, and the story and setting isn't half-assed either which is just a really fun combo. The characters are great in terms of their personalities as well, though I do wish they were more fleshed out in terms of backstory, but that's okay!

Shelby Baumann

I’ve been waiting for this episode!! Great reaction as always 💕

Ugh, the Maki and Mai dynamic is so good, and gets so much better as the story goes on.
