Comments

John Paul

Arc tier list from favorite to less favorite.

John farquad

Please rank each of your favorite arcs and crew members in order

Brook

What was your favourite moment?

A2Z

Any thoughts about Kuma letting everyone go? Also what about the reveal that the Florian triangle isn't feared because of thriller bark but because of something(s) else entirely?

Luke Molkenthin

What was y’all’s initial thoughts when you were finally shown Moria? What did yall think of him as a Warlod of the Sea? How does he rank with Crocodile in terms of power and strengths of the 2 warlods?

Emerald

With how much the straw hats wemt through this arc and also moria talking about how he lost his entire crew. Does that make you worry that we might lose a member of our crew?

Chris Davis

What do you think about the power scaling? The crew just keeps facing stronger and stronger enemies. Luffy barely beat Moria, but it seems like Kuma is somehow even stronger. How do you think they will handle this “learning curve”?

Devan Depew

What questions remain unanswered that you want the answers to the most even after thriller bark? Or any that stand out and are more glaring than before?

Shadow D Phoenix

So far, out of all the characters you have seen so far in One Piece, who do you think has the saddest backstory and why?

Ben Asay

That's awesome! I love the community stuff you guys do 😎 my question for you guys would be, what was your favorite part of the whole arc? I love the party at the end, and all the comedy from the zombies.

Jair.sanchez

What do think about Moria as an antagonist compared to the previous?

Paul Gekralla

What do you think was the best moment of the arc? And maybe also those of the last arcs.

FatherWeeb

I have a long winded theory about brook that I could turn into a question but I'd be typing forever 😂

Snowman9712

Did this arc change how you think of Sanji?

Jessica

What are your thoughts on the fights with the two new warlords this saga compared to the fights with Crocodile?

Snowman9712

Who was your MVP of this arc?

Horadriel

If you could combine your own zombie, who's body would you combine with who's shadow and why? (Pretend that anyone could be dead if necessary)

Wsgyan

When kuma sent perona we don’t know where he asked her what would be her dream destination so I want to ask you what would be yours and I want a one piece world answer and a real world answer !

Ryan Turok

Favorite strawhats ranked in order up to this point

Ryan Turok

Also what devil fruit powers would you want for yourself that you’ve see. So far

Tomas

What do you think each Pirate Captain's scariest moment was in the arc?

JunaeSK

Now that Brook is a bone-ified crew member, what are your definitive thoughts on his character? Along with the character moments that we witnessed in the arc (ie., the Sanji invisible fruit moment or Zoro inheriting Shusui from Ryuma or Nami's friendship with Lola etc., etc.) and how / if they've changed your perception on the crew?

KittensandMotorcycles

Which SH backstory/flashback sequence is the saddest/has hurt you the most so far? Will also take a top 3/5!

Lazy

Who are you looking forward to learning more about, excluding the Straw Hats? Thriller Bark dropped quite a bit of world-building info, and I want to know what other things you both are excited for, in addition to the usual Straw Hat adventures.

Snowman9712

Now that you've met several warlords, what do you think of this title? Edit: You've seen Mihawk, Sir Crocodile (former), Donquixote Doflamingo (briefly at Marie Geoise), Bartholomew Kuma, Gecko Moria, Blackbeard now that he took over for Crocodile and you've heard of Jimbei who has been mentioned to be a fish-man warlord in episode 31 :)

Khalid alhrbi

There is a flaw in One Piece, everyone knows that, don't get me wrong, I am a One Piece fan, but every work has its flaw, and the flaw in One Piece, for me, is that some scenes take longer than necessary, like the Zoro and Chopper scene in episode 370, and I want to clarify something about One Piece. We watch One Piece constantly, but when the episodes air and the flashback appears, we have watched it about an hour ago or four episodes ago, but at that time the period between episodes was about a month or more, so we see a repetition of past events. What do you think about this? ..... (Your fan from the Middle East)

Felipe Reis

After seeing some variety of environments and story genres so far in the series, do you two have any theories or wishes for the future?

Tanheruiel

We saw a lot of awesome combination attacks in this arc. The 600 Million Berry Jackpot, the Super Frapper Gong, the Pirate Docking 6 ... Which one was your favourite? 😄

Ben Asay
>>168072816

That's cause the anime adds fluff and extended scenes. If it was made more true to the normal pace that wouldn't be a issue, also Oda doesn't have any say in that part.

Ms. Hereforonepiece

What's a new skill Luffy would learn if he absorbed your shadows?

yoshilyn

what was your favorite zombie that the crew encountered?

Dandy Zoran

How do yall feel about the theme of Death in this arc and how it was executed?

Judleart - Julie DL

I love the usual format of those Q&A, as the previous one I would love a to know what you thought about the whole arc and how it went down. What did you think about the new caracters we were introduce to? What devils fruits power did you find the coolest, the more weird, the more interesting? Are you worry about the difference power scale as they continue their journey and meet more and more dangerous enemies? Luffy is more and more reckless when fighting, what are your thought about it? I like the scene where they are all around luffy and ussop said that they should hold themself better, what did you feel about that?

Alexander Tonkins

Hi Ladies. Really enjoying all the extra content! I can tell y'all have worked really hard (and had a lot of laughs!) since the break and Ty editors/team as always! Who is your fav non straw-hat female character so far? Which character would you most like to see unexpectedly return to the main plot? Would you have "docked" with mega Frankie?

Jack Swift

Who has the better afro brook or afro luffy?

Jonas do Prado

What are your thoughts on having the crew fighting against Moria and Oars (and later Kuma) for the majority of time while Luffy was absent or knocked down? It's a departure from the usual, but one that I personally really enjoy

KirbLi821

Who is your favorite Warlord of the Sea? What about your favorite Marine? Also I love the amazing reactions, longtime fan 🥰

Shiro523

Do you think the live action is going to get as far as Thriller Bark and if so are you worried about how they are going to bring Brook to life and make him believable?

Zarathos Daimaoh
>>168072816

It just is what it is. Even without filler anime scene, Toei isn't wrong to assume that people's attention span might not be the best , over a weekly airing show. And as ludicrous as it might be, there always will be some people starting a show at the worst time. Those scenes are convenient padding , but also necessary. I'm only really annoyed over flashback from something that happened in the same episode. Like in 366 , when they managed to flashback to Lola telling Nami that she is faking her attack to help her escape Absalom and reiterating that they are friends. It was in the same episode 366 after a commercial break lol

Stephen

Now that you have spent a whole arc with him as part of the crew how do you feel about Franky when it comes to fitting in. Can we take a moment to apricate Franky as a role model for positive masculinity? SUUUUUUUUUUPUERRRRRRRRRRR

DarnedStingray8

These are more general questions, than specific to Thriller Bark, but Have the two of you ever gone back and read the episode titles after watching them? If so, which episode title made you think "wow, I'm glad we didn't read that one"? Also, are there any episodes that you absolutely had to go back and rewatch on your own time? (For example, I probably rewatched Luffy's fights with Blueno and Lucci at least twice, each, by the time I finished the arc.)

OnePieceLover321

If perona hit you with the horo horo no mi, what would you like to be reborned as ? Not really a question related to thriller bark, but i wanted to know if you guys watch other one piece react channel as well and who would you recommend, i know you guys watch carli and ange.

Davo

Any predictions/theories on how the series might play out going forward from this point?

MeteorJuice

Favorite zombie? Favorite Thriller Bark gag? Favorite Straw Hat outfit (since they change a lot!) so far in the series?

Nadeem L

We all know that Zoro is likely Luffy's most staunchly loyal crewmember (without taking away from anyone else of course) and strongest after Luffy. You've covered it briefly, but how did it affect you to see Zoro literally, and seriously, laying his life down, and willing to 'give up on his dream' to save Luffy and the crew - doing it sincerely, without any desire for a posthumous recognition...etc.? Thanks. Also, again, regarding Zoro, we all remember the Nothing Happened line, but I feel there's another line he said that people forget - "In this world when it rains trouble, it pours - will someone come rescue me if I start complaining?" How does that, to you both, reveal something of his personality. And ps. Thanks for the fantastic reaction to Thriller Bark, it was so much fun, and I loved every moment

BeefNoodleSoup

During Thriller Bark, Oda seems to have put more of an emphasis on team-coordinated attacks. Which two Strawhats do you want to see (more of) working together? What new team up attack would you come up with for those two? What would it be called? “All great fighters call out their finishing moves.”

Elinaboo

How do you guys think you would look if you were turn into zombies?

Zarathos Daimaoh

How do you guys feel about Brook being an overall weaker swordsman than Zoro? And even with only Thriller Bark as his showcase so far, how would you rank him in the crew, relative power-wise ? Love him he's actually one of my favs , just sheer curiosity

mael inconnu

What did you think of Moria as an antagonist? And what are your impressions so far of Kuma's character? Greetings from France ☺️

Marie(舞鈴)

Which do you think is the most terrifying of the newly introduced devil fruits? The Shadow-Shadow Fruit The Hollow-Hollow Fruit The Clear-Clear Fruit The Paw-Paw Fruit

Blackfyre5490

This arc is regarded as the funniest in the entire series. What were your favorite comedic moments? (Personally it will always and forever be Luffy pushing the zombie back underground)

Wlad

What happend to Perona?

Fold

What are your favorite non-MC characters.

A2Z

If your shadows were stolen from you and put into zombies, would either of you recognize the other one's zombie? and how?

Leighton

What characters from earlier in the series would you most like to see cross paths with the Straw-Hat crew again?

jimmy L A

Zoodinger

How would you react if you saw Brook and Sanji in real life and they acted towards you the same way they act towards Nami and Robin?

Alex

Who are your favorite villians in the show so far?

Enrique Castro

Seeing the struggle against kuma of the seven warlords, What type of power up’s do you think the crew will receive ,or need to have in the future?

Richard Knouff

For whenever the live action eventually gets to this point, do you have any celebrity fancasts for Moria, Perona, Hogback, and Absalom?

Log

Luffy has talked about wanting a musician for quite some time, did you ever try to imagine what kind of character they would be? If you did, how did your predictions compare to our Brook?

Sanji Sama

There have been many unique laughs so far, which one is your favourite and which one is your least favourite?

Marvin Jimenez

Thriller Bark is about to trap your ship because Kiss opened the flare barrel. What would you name your ship and what escape maneuvers would it have to get out of the situation?

Tixt

After 380+ episodes, have they found the one piece yet?

william munoz

What do you guys think of the range that oda shown in his writing having all this crazy themed islands and witch one has been your favorite and what genres would you like to see Oda play with in the future.

Ms. Hereforonepiece

All the Straw Hats suddenly wake up from their own nightmares in a sweat shouting 'Noooooo!' What would you girls guess each Straw Hat was just dreaming about?

JF

Which other classic horror pop culture reference would you have like have seen in thriller bark?

Joseph Hallowell

Opinions on Brook being the first new strawhat that was previously a captain himself? (Other than Usopp of course) Do you think Brook can help Luffy be a better captain with his wisdom?

October Spirit

Do you plan on watching One Piece(Live Action s2) if so what are you expecting the visuals of the story would be(for Chopper) and in the Future characters like Brook, Franky, CP-9 guys, Zoan type fruit characters

Asher

It's fun to see you enjoyed this arc, I know there's a decent amount of fans who didn't really enjoy it all that much but watching it with you two made me realize how good the arc really is and it stands the test of time. What are a few of your favorite moments in the arc, and is there anything you're looking forward to seeing Oda expand upon that he introduced in this arc? Keep up the great reacts it's been a great journey!

Humble 💙

Hey Haylo & Kiss, I was wondering now with Brook on the crew, who do you think he'll build a cute character dynamic with, example like how Zoro & Chopper have one, or Luffy,Ussop & Chopper. Also out of the current character relationships you've seen which one is your favorite ? Please answer this or I wont be able to sleep at night lol

PuffyFish605

Honestly what were your thoughts on the pacing of this Saga?

Humble 💙

Hey Haylo & Kiss, as another girl crew member of the "Creeping Coven" crew, just girl to girl, out of the members of the Strawhat crew so far who do you have a huge crush on ? for me its without a doubt Zoro & Robin (p.s Kia Ora from New Zealand)

Kanly

When Netflix released the live action, it also released an OVA, "Monsters 103 mercies dragon damnation" a one shot by Eiichro Oda, part of the One Piece Canon, and was wondering if you were thinking of doing a reaction now that you are done with thriller bark?

Chop Chop Chopper

Since you have seen quite a lot of devil fruits by now. What exactly do you think about Kuma's fruit powers, which seem pretty interesting. What do you think his abilities are and how they work?

Peter Butchens

Since you said you played the Saxophone and Clarinet, any chance we'll get to hear your rendition of Bink's Sake :P ? Just kidding. But I do wonder, have you rewatched that scene / the full song at the end of 480 again after that just to savour the song?

_kags
>>168076024

Jdanime2 is my other favourite OP reaction channel, they balance emotion/ hype/ analysis really well (they're pretty far in by now, I recommend sorting by views xd)

_kags

Out of all the characters on Thriller Bark (friendly or otherwise), which 2 characters' shadows you would like to absorb temporarily if you could?

_kags

Please rank in terms of cuteness: Nami and Lola's friendship, Perona, Oars when he first got Luffy's shadow, Chopper's interactions with the crew

BungoBooce

Do you think Sanji would have been able to survive absorbing all of Luffys pain?

Mugiwaraaaaa

Favorite one piece laugh? Thriller Bark introduces some classics such as Brook, Moria, and Perona! Love the reactions as always!

Deuce_manga

how much did zoro as a character change for you during thriller bark in terms of human being quality's? such as Responsibility, Fear and Loyalty.

hobbescrk

What are yall’s thoughts on the mixing of themes in each arc? I.e. horror/humor (thriller bark) or trust/fear (water 7)

B.G.

What would you do with invisibility powers? Nothing bad, I'm sure... 😏

Iron Lord Rock

I know most people hate this ark other than the end. Labeling it "Filler Bark", but I'd like to know your honest opinion about the ark as a whole, pacing, plot, etc.

matalac100

what did you think of franky in his first arc as an official straw hat? how he fits into the crew and his chemistry with other crewmates?

Arturo

Thriller bark is considered by many in the community (me included) as one of the weakest arcs in one piece, how does it fare for you compared to the other arcs you've watched so far?

cooc
>>168095518

Same I didnt really like it at first but after watching it again i think it wasnt as bad as i remembered

Deuce_manga

What do you believe separates Zoro from the rest of the strawhats not just being the first mate??

SimStu

If your shadows were taken, what would you want your zombies to look like? Please, this question is keeping me up at night, I just can't sleep!

Frits__

Last Q&A you said you would most want to spend a day with Sanji. Now that you know more of Sanji's true nature and ambitions, would you still pick him to spend the day with?

MariG

Thriller bark was all about the teamwork and lots of combo moves...What was your favorite team up between the straw hats in this arc? And of all the one piece characters you've met so far, is there a team up you'd be interested to see?

So0bett98

Dont have question. Just want to say luffy is so cute..

Dannigom

any new theories yall have developed after watching this arc? id be interested to hear some of yalls predictions/hopes for the story going forward ^^

rina

Hesoo 🤘 You touch on this heaps and it is one of my favourite things you talk about :) - the writing in the series and its various themes/moments which have hit hard with you! What are three things you have found to be your favourite elements of one piece as a story? And what are the three moments which have hit you the hardest this far within the story? These could fall within flashbacks, reveals, lore/world building etc

Anthony Pham

Participate in Pirate Docking or be a hater like Robin?

twirlybrow

Did you guys notice the parallels on Brooks backstory episode where Bink's Brew was sung by the Strawhats with full of life and then goes back to Rumbars singing it with their dying last breath? Oda is the GOAT. This story for me is one of the best fictional stories ever written, just for me. Everything in this show just fits perfectly like a puzzle being completed and it's hard to find another that's comparable. And you guys even have a long way to go to catch up! just imagine what more this story holds for you guys (and even for us!!!)

Mr. Gentleman

HESO! Welcome to the H&K (Not the store) SBS Corner! Whose backstory would you say is the saddest among all the Strawhats? Also, which backstory is the most memorable?

Adam

You get four characters to be in your crew. Doesnt have to be a pirate. Who do you pick?

Luke

who had the best fit in thriller bark? Doesn't have to be straw hats

Caradoc Elmet

There were a lot of antagonists in this arc. Are there any of them you think you'd like to see again in the series?

Monkey D.offy Lucci

Why do you think this arc has such a bad reputation in the series?

Cyrill Attakpah

ive been watching and reading one piece for almost 2 decades now so its hard to ask any questions without accedentally spoiling stuff ... but one comes to mind: did you expect that brook really would be a new crew member when luffy asked him right away without knowing even his name? xD

Dante

This arc introduced some wild laughs. If Haylo and Kiss were characters in the One Piece anime what would their laughs sound like?

E. Rose

If you two were to design your own zombies, what would you like them to be?

E. Rose

You are trapped alone just like Brook for 50 years. What do you do to pass the time?

Sierra Francis

Love your girls reactions, they’re so fun! My question is what was each of your favorite funny moments in Thriller Bark? Mine was luffy pushing the zombie back into the ground. “It’s an old man with serious injuries…”

Daniel Atkinson

Oh no! A zombie got your shadows! What quirks did your shadows take with them?

Daniel Atkinson

Who has your favourite little theme song? From the eye catchers where ad breaks would be?

Loic Reviews

As of now, what are some of YOUR theories regarding the world government/marines/world ?

niklas schmidt

What is your deeper thoughts on Kuma 🙂

Jacque Polley

What do you have to say to the people who say One piece isnt good until episode 300?

Reginald S. Pumpkins

Did you notice that ever since the death of Brook, till the end of Thriller Bark that he does not play an instrument? He at one instance ALMOST plays the violin for the Straw Hats, he stops in shock of Perona's ghosts. It isn't until the end of this arc where he starts playing music again. There is purpose here. It may seem little, but I think it means a lot for his entire character. It is mentioned once we learn a more about Brook and what he has experienced. Later on, there is the most weight to his line "Why is the accompaniment the last to go?" Accompaniment? Is a key term here. Accompaniment, its definition means something that supports 'one another.' Music is meant to be shared. Shared, and played amongst others. While he is adrift nothing would isolate him more than playing music especially the piano... it takes the brightness of the rest of the Straw Hats to reignite his passion for music. For 50 years he spent adrift, it took a personality like Luffy to reignite his passion.

Aerores

What is your favorite straw hat and your favorite arc up until this point?

BaTe0o7

Hi ladies! Thank you for bringing us along on your One Piece journey! It's been a blast watching along and getting a recap on the series. My question is, of all the places we've been to so far, which place would you live in if you were a person in the One Piece world? Which place would you like to visit as a vacation spot? Which place would you consider a punishment to be stranded on?

Snowman9712
>>168132594

He plays the piano for everyone at the end of Thriller Bark. I don't know what you mean

Vigneswaran Bhaskaran

Just a fun question "if you were hit by perona's negative ghosts, what would your depressed self say?

Yves Virenge

Zoro is truly a GOAT now he gotta carry all of Luffy pain/sorrow etc plus his, that’s why I respect him so much

Ruzoku

Sogeking hath returned! (for just a moment). What did you think about Usopp embodying the Sniper King as a mask (ha!) to be brave for the sake of his friends? and how do you think Usopp as a character would develop later on?

Jonah

This is a pretty general question, but at this point what do you reckon the one piece is and do you have any thoughts about what the end of the series will look like as a whole?

MoZee

Is one piece one of the greatest, most amazing, thrilling, story capturing, character developing, heart racing, emotionally captivating and brilliantly written shows that you have ever seen of all time?

Alex S

What do you think of the horror elements this arc has? Do you think this arc made you feel like your watching a horror movie and what was your scariest moments out of it?

Pritam Acharya

Rank the top 5 fav one piece arc's upto this point & what resonate with you personally with each arc. (Question for both of you separately)

Pritam Acharya

Which strawhat combination you want to see next for the next adventure?? (Question for both of you separately)

Pritam Acharya

What would be your one funny and one serious SBS question for oda sensei , you would like to ask (Question for both of you separately)

Pinder

What do you think of Moria as a main villian? Do you think he stood up to the amazing standards of one piece villians such as Crocodile, Enel, Rob Lucci?

Saban

A bit dark but. Some people saw Moria as basically what Luffy would become if all the SHs were killed. What are your thoughts on this and if you disagree how do you think Luffy would turn out if what happened to Moria happened to him?

RAMbot

If any villain from the thriller bark arc were to come back to the show. Who would you want it to be?

boodz

Kuma: where is your favorite place that you wish o go to right now ? Please answer honestly so that my magic works.

Adrian Ramirez

Heya! Its me Robot docking supporter. Do you think that if Robin docked with Franky, Usopp, Chopper and the others that they wouldve beaten Oars?!? I do. :3 Can't wait to hear your praise in support of docking.

Kaiju Kes

You have a chance to join the Straw Hats! But there is a catch! Only your shadows can join, and you are the horse and tree zombie having tea that Luffy tries to recruit. Would you do it? Alternatively, one of the Straw Hats could absorb your shadow, who would you pick?

Johnnytsunami

Now that we have brooks backstory who do you think has the most tragic backstory so far?

one piece enjoyer

You previously had said that if One Piece hadn't been recommended to you, you likely would have never watched it. If you were to recommend One Piece to other people, what would be your sales pitch?

Mr. John Kagurabachi

Since “nothing happened” with Zoro, the logic should apply to Sanji too! Nothing happened with those two in this arc! 💪

Mone

What's one scene/moment that comes to mind that you absolutely loved when thinking of this arc (for each crew member pls 🙏🏻😊)

Fold

If you could bring any item from one piece into the real world what would it be? The Straw hat, Brook’s tone dial, or perhaps Nami’s perfect clima-tact?

Owl

What is the best moments in this arc

October Spirit

Will you be doing a Color Pannel illustration reaction since the Cover chapters are stopped for now. Once in a while the Manga has a opening panel of Color illustration of the Strawhats(it’s like the Laundry ones) most of them are not part of the story()they are just cool to have a peek. I like to use them as Desktop and Phone Wallpapers.

Sora

What is your favorite laugh (to hate/to love, to hate to love) in One Piece ? Mine is "CHAPAPAPAPA" And "AH AH AH MONKEY MONKEY"

SUPERFREAKS

Hello! You were understandably very put off by Absalom's role in the arc. Do you think the story would've been better if his behavior was toned down or cut entirely? And/or, what would you have done differently if you had a say?

Ashley Saari
>>168132594

Exactly, they’re saying we don’t ever see him playing an instrument until he gets his shadow returned, even in flashbacks when he’s clearly being driven crazy by boredom and something like playing an instrument might help pass the time.

Launchpad McQuack

When will Haylo get her own emotional support wall to match Kiss?!

Kyo

Did your view of Sanji change a little after that exchange with Absalom or did you just take it as a gag and move on?

RAMbot

This isn’t Thriller Bark related, but I do have one more question. I’ve always noticed that statue in the back corner of your room under the lamp. I always think that it’s a certain female character from One Piece. Then I remind myself, “oh wait, they haven’t gotten that far into the story so it’s no way that it’s her!” So who is the character back there dressed in red? Watch it not even be a woman, lol, would be funny if it was Inuyasha or something like that this whole time 😅

Manuel Cucalon

Knowing how does Oda’s mind works, which character of the Thriller Bark’s crew would you love to watch again in the story?

Stephen

Have you gone back and re-watched any parts of the series in your free time?

Sora

What is your favorite running gag in One Piece ? I think mine is Zoro always lost and Chopper doesn't know how to hide
