FARMLAND SAGA COMMENCE

I’m not sure if I would put Thorgil’s intellect up there with Askeladd since he’s the GOAT of strategy but he’s definitely not your average berserker. He probably could’ve hanged with the best of em in any era but unfortunately he lives during the time of Canute, it’s pretty cool to learn more history about this time period because the Vikings were actually so influential on European politics during the Middle Ages

Don't mess with anyone who has "Thor" in his name 😅

so hype for the rollercoaster that is to come

Best keep tissues on hand from now on until the last episode.

I’m telling you it seems like Canute is changing and that’s because he is. It’s all for the good of all. But the “hypocrisy” is not lost on him that’s what makes his writing so interesting and chilling.

“I guess I had to learn there is no freedom, without love.” I think Canute’s line about love also relates to his feelings toward “God,” which he may now view as a metaphor for the natural order or logic of the universe as much as a personal being. In his view, God abandoned us after Eden and isn’t coming to save us, so he will be the one to do it. I’m sure seeing God as “Father” made it hurt more just as he realized his earthly father didn’t love him either. And to think he also was there when Askeladd spoke of Artorius and how he can’t wait anymore
