I like the chess anology. Light just blundered his queen (his strongest piece) to prevent a mate from L. Can't wait to see L's other pieces! We have an idea of Light's board with two shinigamis and a pretty unlimited amount of pawns (through note manipulation), while L's strongest pieces are Light's dad and the police force. Exciting stuff!

Misa furthered an already thrilling story. As much as it irked me here that L was on the money just missing that key factor that would unravel Kira’s identity, the storytelling was still just so good. And as charming and cute as she may be Misa really is terrifying. Wiling to kill friends and even herself just to be in Light’s good graces is scary. Her eyes give Light such a huge upper hand and that’s what frustrates me. 😤
