I’ve always put Haikyuu as a top priority show for them after seeing their reactions to OP. I just know they’ll love it because it gave me the same mixed of emotions and feeling all kinds of it while watching both shows. Finally, we’re here! And to think that I got to watch their reactions to both shows alternatively everyday. Plus Dressrosa is my fave OP arc, too. OH NO! 😂 can’t wait for them to love EACH and EVERY character on this show cos’ i know they’ll do. Haikyuu is in my top 5 anime of all time and even I was suprised. I think it is beautifully written and as what they’ve mentioned, it’s very “human”. Can’t wait for them to meet all these characters. 🫶🏻

Oh golly, you've been bamboozled! It's a character drama disguised as a sports anime! 🥹🥹 (Not to say that the shonen anime elements aren't there though, the matches are insanely hype! And the comedy is great!) I totally get where you're coming from though... I'd never watched or played a second of volleyball in my life prior to watching this show and proceeded to get instantly hooked by the characters and blow through it in the span of 2 weeks during university and joined the uni's social volleyball team soon after 🤭 Actually met a few other Haikyuu fans there lol, it was funny

The beauty of haikyu is that there are no special powers or abilities, just hard work and real human emotions, this show is beyond healing!!

Oh 100%, the characters also live and breathe volleyball, the writer is clearly extremely passionate about the sport. But it's also highly focused on character interactions and depth and development, their passion for and relationship with the sport of volleyball is a vehicle for Furudate to explore them imo
