i think the important nuance in the oikawa/kageyama comparison is that oikawa isnt a genius in the sense that his talent comes from effort and time devoted to training, whereas kageyama is a little more on the side of natural talent. so when it comes down to stressful moments, oikawa has the willpower to push through it and strategize, but kageyama doesnt really have the experience of struggling through because hes always had the natural talent to pull him along. think of it like the person who can pass tests without studying vs someone who gets the same scores after working for it - they get the same results, but have vastly different mindsets

I love the title of this episode. It makes you think “Oikawa is good but he’s no Kageyama.” Kageyama is considered a genius because things that would be considered expert level seem to come easy to him. We’ve even seen Suga and Tanaka being playfully irked at how good his skills are. But looking at it another way Oikawa doesn’t have that “natural talent” so he’s mastered other areas to make up for it. And he’s showing up the genius setter with them here.

Part 2 of my in-universe mock brands! Seijo's uniforms are from a brand that looks very similar to a sports brand called "Mizuno." However, if you look carefully the words spell out "Mizunyoro" and the Mizuno logo squiggles off at the end. "Nyoro" is a Japanese onomatopoeia for something slithery. So both the logo and the brand name have a squiggle at the end.
