let’s go!!! ❤️❤️❤️ you are my goat of reactors from non-anime to OPLA then anime. thank you for reacting to OPLA season 2. hope to see you season 3. i loved sanji & usopp more in live action honestly.

The LA versions of these characters really are love letters to the source material, but specifically Usopp and Sanji are such *better* iterations imo (and I say this as someone who started watching One Piece when it was on 4kids TV haha). I love that they've kept the silliness, but added SO much more depth this early on.

I'm sure your mods are already helping with the timeline. But, yeah, you'd have to move quick. Which I would not complain about :D. As long as you don't burn yourselves out <3

This is a phenomenal adaptation. They managed to take everything that made One Piece One Piece and make a fantastic season, telling a hefty portion of the story and not making it feel rushed. I am so happy they put the Zoro picking up Chopper thing, I was waiting for any depiction of their special relationship, anything at all. It's also one of the few, rare instances we see Zoro's softer side. Alllllright! Thank you guys again for a realllly great reaction to this season! It'll be a while, but Im really excited for S3!

I feel you, I just spent the weekend watching this season with my mum and after having been a fan of this story for so long, it's so special to be able to share it with her! she loves it!

Thank you ladies for taking me on this amazing adventure! At the start of this season I had to binge your first season and because even as long as I've followed you both I didn't watch any O P because you were so far ahead. I follow just a handful of people on Patreon and you two are the only channel that watches OP. Again, thank you, H & K !!

I think the reason they didn't have Dr. Kureha call Chopper her son was that it was only the previous episode where we had Dr. Hiriluk call him his son, so I think that might have diluted the impact somewhat. Season 3 is scheduled to finish filming in June, and based on previous seasons, we can expect 12-14 months of post production, so best guess is that season 3 will release mid- to late-2027.

Haylo and Kiss, thank you for reacting to my favorite anime/anime adaptation. You have helped me through some tough times. At the end, when you mentioned wanting your parents to react to the live action, it made me smile because my parents are no longer around. Not to take away from you, but I am happy you are still able to enjoy them. Love ya!

I agree, knowing what's going to happen also makes me more emotional about certain scenes. The same happens when rewatching the anime with you guys. Even though I've seen all of this a couple of times, I can not control my emotions any better.

They still haven't added the background to the broken window after the Wapol fight, I see. Suppose he was thrown into the gaping void. Can't unsee it now, can you?

RealPersonMan

I have noticed that Luffy is very confidant this season. A little more than in the anime. I think this is set up for a certain situation in the next season ;)

I guess the LA is a good start into the world of One Piece, which you are proof of. As an anime watcher since the early days of One Piece, I would say that the LA gives a good impression of what to expect from One Piece, but if you already know the story, it hits differently because of all those little details that you only understand with a bit of knowledge about the original. Season 1 was great and I was afraid about season 2 to be honest, but I loved season 2 even more. Some parts look silly in the LA, especially from Luffy, but if you think of the anime/manga Luffy you will recognize all those movements/actions and it's nostalgic and familiar instead of silly. For example the part when he starts singing and dancing for Laboon. And if you then know the whole story, it is just beautiful.

There was a hiking bear in the end screen map of drum island! But anyway I just want to say thank you, I watch some anime with my partner, but the selection is limited because of her dyslexia. fast forward she was bawling in episode 2 with laboon and as you mentioned in your ending it is always so interesting seeing other peoples experience as a first time viewer and being there together to experience it. Anyways just wanted to say thank you, can't wait for S3!

The scene showing Ace in Drum Island is actually mildly important since he was chasing Blackbeard who had just sacked Drum Island, so him being there is important for his story and journey.

FlyingHavok

You know they nailed it when the live action can make you go through the same emotions that you experienced when watching the anime. You two should probably watch the official one piece live action podcast on netflix as well. I watched a couple and they were quite interesting, really showed how each cast member are dedicated to the source material.

Love seeing how you two liked the second season after the two year ride of anime!!I appreciate Kiss being honest about not being a Usopp hater, but not really vibing with the character in the anime ❤️(I say this as a fellow Usopp stan)

I love the Nashville hoodie. I’m from Nashville

Search Assist In the japanese dub of this episode, Kureha said "行っといで バカ息子" translates to "Go ahead, stupid son."
