I absolutely adore Yachi, she brings just another splash of different energy to the show and she's just so damn cute! And she brings out the personality of our dear manager more, so she's the perfect addition <3 And as another recovering socially anxious person I can relate to her a lot.

I gave in and watched the opening credits for the last episode and was happy to see a new face. She is adorable.

This season is such a breath of fresh air!

Today's name drop is the cute and adorable Hitoka (Caring Flower) Yachi (Valley Earth). It's no secret that she'll be joining in some form or capacity given how much screen time she's getting (my futile attempt at keeping this spoiler free), but we can already see how caring she is as she tutors Hinata and Kageyama. Using the kanji for "flower" in a girl's name was more common back in like the 60's and 70's and you don't see them as often now, but it's fitting as a flower needs sunlight (aka Hinata) to grow. Yachi's last name completes the trifecta of foundational names for Karasuno: Daichi (3rd year), Ennoshita (2nd year) and Yachi (1st year).
