One of my stand out episodes honestly was looking forward to this one!

I think this is top 5 haikyu episodes

I’m on a rewatch yet again of Haikyuu, and it just hit me that Sugawara is the mom of the team

Devon Joseph

Really? I thought that was hella obvious. Suga is nuturing and calm, high level of social awareness. The dad is obviously Daichi, stern and confident, a pillar that they lean on while also being the disaplanarian. They fit their roles as Captain and Setter really well.

I love how we get a glimpse of how much of a psychopath Hinata is when it comes to volleyball.

When the boys go from choatic craziness to elite volleyball players, that walk out will always bring warmth to my heart. I have had the luck of playing on a team like that, off field we are loud, raucous and chaotic, then once we have our uniforms on and start walking on field we become elite deadly killers.. just that switch up.. it is such an amazing feeling. Also shout out to the mom, shes just got that independant single mom energy, direct and to the point, could she have said is nicer, sure but what she said was absolutely correct.

Probably one of the best episodes of an S tier show, and it's not really got to do with volleyball itself! Just about taking things honestly and giving it your all, even as a Townsperson B!

No name drop, so it's time for a Japanese lesson! So, when Hinata was thanking Yachi's mom for Yachi's kindness, he used the word "koui" (pronounced koh-ee). The Japanese has a lot of homonyms and this word "conveniently" has 3 definitions that could be, and was, misinterpreted. Hinata used it as "kindness" (厚意) that has a very hospitable connotation, appropriately so. Yachi interpreted it as "romantic feelings towards" (好意) which is why it made her blush. Kageyama interpreted it as "action" (行為) as in something somebody does, which isn't wrong but it makes it sound more procedural with less emotion.
