I always through Shirabu’s thoughts on being a setter were kinda strange. I’m used to Oikawa and Kageyama being the “conductors” of their teams. They’re able to set the flow of the game. Oikawa, especially, can work with any player and is able to solidify teamwork. Shirabu, on the other hand, doesn’t want to be “elegant” or stand out like Oikawa. He wants to kinda hide behind someone else’s power. Because no matter how good your teamwork is, a powerful cannon can blow it all away.

Yeah it’s interesting seeing the different mindsets of these setters. When I think of a setter my mind of course goes to Kageyama and Oikawa. I feel like Shirabu would fit in well with a team like Oikawa but he liked what Shiratorizawa especially what Wakatoshi brought to the table and wanted to be a part of that. Power is what beats all else so working under the radar, not making waves and counting on power to win when all else fails is something he could get behind.
