Funfact: In the One Piece Live Action S2, during Zoro & Tashigi's fight, you can see Pedro's bounty poster hanging on the wall behind them 🔥 There are many things hidden in the OPLA you still couldn't have picked up on at the time (I would advise against a rewatch though, there are some spoilers you fortunately did not pick up on)

Bicorne is something from mythology or even in the bible, it's like a unicorn but with 2 horns. Likely, they are just calling the skull a bicorne for having 2 horns or something? Often spelled bicorn, dunno why they spelled it that way. But either way, the translation and the place that Unicorn and Bicorn comes from are Rhinos. There are 2 types of Rhinos, ones with 1 horn, and ones with 2 horns. If you look up their technical terms, you'll see they have Unicorn and Bicorn in their names. So maybe Napoleon was some kind of horned creature that Mama collected, turned into a sentient creature inside of the hat. Best guess I have, anyways with no other context.

I think it's intentional that Oda had this eggplant-looking guy helping Sanji, since Zeff used to call him "chibi nasu" or "little eggplant." Just a theory, an anime theory.

A bicorne is a type of hat, the name mean two horn. In the show the hat is called Napoleon because the real Napoleon was known wearing this type of hat

Whenever I watch anime with English subtitles, I get really frustrated. Since I understand Japanese, I don't actually need subtitles myself. But I can't help but feel bad for those who have to rely on English subs, because the massive differences in sentence structure and cultural nuances make the translations feel a bit off. Or maybe it's just because English isn't my native language, so it doesn't flow naturally to me.

I wouldnt worry about that, it's literally just like reading a book to us. It's really not all that hard unless youre not used to it. Newer subtitle watchers have tough times only because they can't read as fast as someone like me whos been doing this their whole life. Just the fact that there are words that when theyre translated have multiple meanings, that's when things get annoying.
