What a crazy episode 💀 Just a couple insights that might interest you guys - so the purpose of a love hotel is pretty self-explanatory. The reason they exist is because of how thin the walls in Japanese apartments tend to be and also the fact that travel/vacation isn't as common over there, so it's a way to get away for a night without worrying about neighbors etc. And Gojo's go-to outfit is called a jinbei! It's a lightweight traditional Japanese garb designed to be worn in the summer, usually worn by men. It's also what the Japanese whale shark is named after (Jinbei-zame) because the pattern on whale sharks is reminiscent of the pattern on that type of clothing. So Jinbe in One Piece is both named for the clothing (which is similar to what he usually wears) and the fact that he's a Whale Shark Fishman :))

Confession time. Early in the season this story had me wrapped around its finger. I spent the day bingeing the season, yes, the 2nd too. When I got to this episode I counted the days until you got here. You two mirrored my reactions!

Anime titles have got a bit too long. Not like classic one or two word titles like the last couple generations. You had your 'Death Note', 'Berserk', 'Fate/Stay Night' etc. That simplicity had its charm. Now the title is the entire plot of the anime. I would refer to one title from the last season : "Backstabbed in a Backwater Dungeon: My Trusted Companions Tried to Kill Me, but Thanks to the Gift of an Unlimited Gacha I Got LVL 9999 Friends and Am Out for Revenge on My Former Party Members and the World" or Mugen Gacha for short.

Now i have to clean my keyboard from coffee spills, thanks you two hahaha PS: the amount of reactors that watched this episode with a heart monitor on that SPIKED is hilarious. Love hotels are actually an affordable thing in japan, because of the compact living spaces with thin walls. Even people traveling to japan will sometimes book a love hotel for their stay because it's unironically sometimes cleaner due to constantly changing sheets and sanitizing everything, but more specifically because they're a cheaper option for quick stays or to just "crash" when you're spending most of your time actually walking around the city or train-hopping to other cities and then returning to your "home base" location to just crash on a bed. Japan treats love hotels and other cafes and whatnot as part of the culture in some cities, and they're NOT like a brothel or anything from the west. It's actually surprisingly much higher class, almost like booking a resort "chalet" when camping, and many of them are used as "bed and breakfast" or "airBnB" kind of thing. Also, i dont think Marin intentionally does her "extreme teasing" things, she teases him a lot but sometimes she's oblivious when she's locked in, same as gojo when he locked in when focusing on the photo and the outfit etc.

the reason i think is because there's so much manga and anime that they want the synopsis quickly summarized on the title to drive purchases up. Also in kanji a lot of the titles will look more compact and shorter so that's maybe why :)

Crazy episode. Didn’t know that about the succubus I thought they were like mermaids. Also I have seen some compromising episodes in shows but this one was up there.
