Typo in the title. Says 823 instead of 829 :)

GalaxyGamer

Wanted to let you know there is a typo in the title. It says 823 instead of 829.

Yiaato

the 823 knocked me out

NightmareModeGo

"Luke Bege" was supposed to be "Rook Bege".

DarnedStingray8

This is from the One Piece Fandom Wiki: In the official subtitles for this episode, Capone Bege is erroneously called "Luke Bege" by Katakuri. The name "Luke" is an incorrect romanization of Rūku (ルーク?), which is actually referring to Bege's rank of "Rook"

Kapitány Zoltán

I'm pretty sure it was a typo in the subs, it should have been "prepare the wedding cake", not "repare" it. With today's title, the timing is perfect. :D

AOP

Katakuri said "Rook" Bege (chess piece title), not Luke or Look. The classic Japanese R <-> L pronunciation thing

Eggplant Soldier’s a real one, welcome to the Straw Hat crew!

To Haylo's Baum comment: Baum is german for tree and a Baumkuchen (so Baum Cake like the room was called) is a german cake with many thin layers. Apparently the palace is called that because of the many layers it has for the guest rooms. And the Baumkuchen is sometimes referred to as the King of Cakes in Germany, so I guess that's where Kingbaum has his name from. Just a little fact from this german 🙃

Freeofgreed

They didn't say repair the wedding cake, they just said cake. The building Niji blew up when he attacked Bege was made out of cake.

I was worried for the little guy in Sanji’s room 😂

I think the parallel between Big Mom and Whitebeard is beautiful. Big Mom has a lot of biological children, but she doesn't have a problem killing them on the spot, while Whitebeard's crew was full of random men, whom he called sons and would protect them with his life no matter what.

Jinbe's words regarding Luffy's crew are indeed really interesting. People within the One Piece world call the strawhats "mugiwara no ichimi" which is usually translated as "strawhats" in English but actually means the strawhat "gang". When we look how the strawhats call themselves, we notice that they also uses the word "gang" rather than "mugiwara kaizokudan" (which would mean Strawhat's crew). it's especially visible in Water 7 when the terms "our gang" are used in the english translation by the strawhats in their conversations. We believe Oda wants to empathize the Yakuza like family bond within the strawhats. Others believe the strawhats will only gain the "kaizokudan" status at the very end of the story... but this is just a theory.

Kevin Garcia

I just found out Oda loves giraffes so the fact that one is used for a smoothie is hilarious.

Eneru to me was far from Katakuri. It was just a basic Observation Haki allowing to dodge. Katakuri trained himself in Advanced Observation Haki. Katakuri seems like he can react much ahead of time before anyone even will do move. I do not think that someone else can change outcome what he sees without having also trained Advanced Observation Haki seeing future themselves. But I may be wrong. But if anyone would be able to change outcome I think it would heavily negate purpose of Advanced Observation Haki.

SimStu

Funny how the family of assassins is the only one not in on an assassination plan

DE4THWI5H

Katakuri is the GOAT

zoroxmihawk

little german lesson, ✨yaaay✨ Baum means Tree King Baum = Tree King Baum Cake is a german dessert.

DE4THWI5H

Luffy's plan is actually 4d chess level. Only Trafalgar Law could come up with a better strategy.

DE4THWI5H

Yes. But it's also Japanese naming scheme. You are correct I'm just adding context. His name is Capone Bege. His title is Rook. So in English it's would be title, first. last. Rook Bege Capone. Luke was a translation error. "You rearry want to reave me?" Rs in Japanese translate to Ls in English. I'm not kidding or being racist that's literally what it is. Imagine translating to a language that doesn't use the same sound you do in yours.

Wojciechu

just an information for everyone who's clueless: hyping up a character as soon as he's introduced is one of the things that made them stop reading comments
