The whole reaction of Hinata's happiness to be there is one of my favorite parts of the show. It's such a character growth by Hinata, but as Suga says this is a different monster from what he has had to overcome before and the best part is Kageyama's smug grin when he sees Hinata's reaction. Kageyama really does believe so much more in Hinata than he first leads on, so calling Hoshiumi a "good reference" at the Youth camp is crazy work, but such a compliment to Hinata!

So many good episodes in this season but this one is so underrated

Today's name drop is Korai (Light Coming) Hoshiumi (Star Sea) of Kamomedai (Seagull Base) High School. I'm actually going to refrain from commenting on his first name for potential spoiler (not plot relevant, but just to be safe) reasons. Kamomedai is an interesting name since the school is the champion of the Nagano Prefecture which is like US's Utah or Colorado where it's landlocked and very mountainous. Much more famous for their winter sports than their volleyball. Once again, not going to spoil anything but the fact that the school is named after an animal implies that they will be significant to the story like Shiratorizawa (White bird), Fukurodani (Owl Valley), Nekoma (phonetically Cat), etc.
