So is the fuckass genie like Moreau’s technique from Hunter X Hunter? Just a complicated smoke manifestation?

zoomTACO

YAY! Quick note, I think the edited version got uploaded as the full length, just in the full length format? There were several places that this video skipped ahead of the crunchyroll vod. Two cool notes connecting here to the live action. Dory says he eats a whole bowl of semla! during this festival. And then they obviously honor the Sun in their duel and in the super cool sound track song Pray to the Sun!

Daifuku ate the puff puff fruit and became a lamp human, which should have been shown in episode 826. No smoke ability, it is a paramythia genie ability. The genie is more like a minion he controlls, than him controlling smoke and forming a genie out of it.

"Is this the pre-death backstory?" Ah, my girls, they've come so far. They've become meta in their anime commentaries. I've never been so proud! ToT

Dan Cervantes

I remember the puff puff fruit thing, and the lamp human, but I was wondering if the “puff puff” was like smoke. The lamp human does throw a wrench in my theory tho.

Another interesing thing to point out is that seemingly "everyone" thas has been on her life has always been afraid of her since she was a child, even her own parents, and her children in the present, Mother Carmel seems to have been the only one that apparently is not affraid of her... psycologically that can also bring a very deep analysis on her character and how a person could developed when everyones is afraid of them, and why Carnel is/was so speciall to Big Mom to keep her photo so close and having that reaction when said photo gets broken

Jonathan Charles

I can't believe how many times we've lined up getting backstories with the girls exactly when we needed a refresher for the present. I should have made a list of all the coincidences.

Jeffrey Xue

Unfortunately, I would imagine it's very difficult to tell a child "no" if the prospect of a temper tantrum also comes with a high probability of death.

Derek Cook

I think she was obviously born with some mental disabilities considering how she conducts herself has an adult too. She just has massive strength so it's very dangerous. I've interacted people on the spectrum before like this. They can be very strong without realizing it.

Timothy Ahn

Can't believe you made it to big moms backstory. Hope you will have retained the information and characters names from the backstory, because they will come up again in the future.
