Just Dan

I am so glad you both liked this series. It is one of my favorites. I am excited to see what is in the next poll.

Taylor

The time has come, to witness the greatest reveal for the greatest side character! The "literally me" character for the majority of the fandom! It's been a pleasure watching your reaction to this fantastic series! Welcome aboard the wait train for S3

Jonathan Anderson

yeah if there is one. I live in eternal hope that there will be.

Taylor

Never give up on that hope my friend

Luke Wayman

I'm sure there will be more just not a s3. I think CloverWorks will do a movie and call it a day.

RedeyeCajun

If they don’t have a s3 highly recommend finishing the manga on your own time.

Jonathan Anderson

I might have to but it won't be the same, I loved the animation and the voice actors. CloverWorks deserve major props for how well this anime was done.

Jove Joved

It's a shame that the sales for Season's 1 and 2 didn't push things into the final bit of the story for Season 3. There's a good chance we'll never get it. I would have given anything to see her ultimate/final costume and the related scenes in animated form.

Jonathan Anderson

I try not to but there have been several anime that I really hoped would continue that so far have not. Uzaki and Nagatoro are 2 that I really liked that seem to have ended after 2 seasons.

Taylor

I also have plenty of series I enjoy that are less likely to continue. But with MDuD being on the more popular side, I’m sure it will get a 3rd season.

Jonathan Anderson

I hate it when studios do that. Probably my favorite anime "Teasing Master Tagaki" did that and it felt totally rushed.

Jonathan Anderson

I always thought it was the manga sales that determined further seasons but I guess it does make more sense for the anime sales to determine further anime seasons. Maybe its the manga sales that determine if a manga gets an anime at all and then the anime has to sell enough on its own to get further seasons. Can I ask how you know that the sales of the anime weren't strong? I constantly try to find sales information of anime that I love but never seem to find accurate info. What I really hate is how popular anime like One Piece are that over shadow the RomComs.

Luke Wayman

Yeah, but that's just the trend nowadays. Ufotable kinda started it with Demon Slayer, but I'm sure Clover will do this show justice.

Sassamatass

If you wanna continue down the RomCom path, I would recommend Hokkaido Gals Similar character dynamic to MDUD, but replace cosplay with snow and winter stuff. It will also make you want to visit Hokkaido.

Enson

Akira’s VA had me in tears this episode. Absolutely hilarious.

DapperDad

Everyone always finds their first manga when they catch up to an anime they love and want more (it was Bleach for me)

Jonathan Anderson

Such a great anime, pretty disappointed with the ending but am hoping a 3rd season will happen.

Jonathan Anderson

I sure hope so but those end credits felt like the end.

Mike Rose

Please include A sign of affection in your poll 😊

Nelson CHen

Theres not enough left in the manga for more than a movie or half season.

Luke Wayman

That's why I said they might just do a movie and call it.

Autonomoustoker

Hoping to see That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Silme on the poll

Kimi

I hope witch hate atelier makes the poll!

Mono Riel

Noooooooooo!! We need season 3!! In the meantime, I want to see Haylo & Kiss be fashion police and make the tier list of Marin’s outfits!! Or the tier list of any anime characters' outfits we've watched so far!! And cosplay them!!

FijiWater

if it did have a third season it wouldnt even be a bad ending to a season but the fact that they arent even planning makes it so much worse

Jonathan Anderson

except there are studios will add their own continuation if the manga ends.... I am not saying I think its a good thing I just don't want a movie because those tend to be rushed a half season would be a much better idea.

finn

they would LOVE witch hat

Kimi

Yes! Especially since they loved Frieren so much.

Kaiju Kes

I'm not sure what will be on the poll, but I think you'd both like Tomochan is a Girl! It's only 13 episodes, completed, and is about a sporty tomboy, her crush, and sassy best friends.

DorkRunner

This romance series is definitely a lot more popular than some others among women, even despite the fanservice, so I don't think it's just you happening to like it better than other romance coincidentally. I'm a guy and I love it too, and because I know it's very popular among women I have thought about why I think that is. Honestly, I think it boils down to a simple statement that the show displays a more feminine perspective of romance. It's hard for me to put into exact words what that means, but for anyone that has watched things like hallmark movies or soaps, or read women's romance literature, and who has also watched and read romance written more for guys to enjoy, they'll know what I mean. For one thing, though Gojo is socially isolated, he's definitely portrayed as less of a milquetoast, nobody dude. He has many traits that other male protagonists have--he's kind, caring, etc.--but he's also very passionate about something and very competent with a wide variety of valuable skills that help support Marin, like cooking, sewing, make-up, and more. (Worth noting that many of these skills are typically more feminine as is acknowledged by the show, which means women are more likely to connect with and relate to them than men are and eat up a guy that shows interest, appreciation, and passion in them.) Like many male romance protagonists he's a bit antisocial at first, but he's not really a "loser with a heart of gold" or a nobody. Simply put, he has qualities beyond simply being a nice guy, and many of those qualities make him uniquely helpful and supportive to the girl in his life. However, it's not like the show doesn't do things that also appeal to male viewers. Marin is still the more confident and assertive one, and she is really emotionally supportive of Gojo, which is what many men (especially introverted or romantically insecure men) can find very encouraging and hopeful. She really puts her trust and faith in Gojo, too, which is a big deal for men. My Dress Up Darling sits kind of comfortably between the feminine and masculine dreams of romance and partnership.

Jonathan Anderson

Tomo is a girl is great, a bit slow and gets a little weird but well worth the watch.

Luke Wayman

I hope Apothecary Diaries is on the next poll, these 2 will eat that show up!

Kaiju Kes

That'd be good too. It's a bit longer, that's why I recommended Tomochan since it's only 13 episodes.

Molto_Benny

The fact that Akira was nervous about Marin's opinion of her is hilarious to me. Marin is literally the least judgmental person in the world and Akira's so anxious about appearing weird in front of her she almost pukes. It's adorable.

RedK

My Dress Up Darling has been strong in sales even before the anime but the anime is what gave the boost to the overall sales. I don't think it's about sales is just a material problem. The ending of S2 never happens in the manga, this was a full Clover work and now they don't have enough canon material to build a third season. If they want to try for a full season they need to start from 0 and do another original (only anime) part that merges into the canon story and that takes time. The anime director said that he would love to do another season but without rushing things because rushing can ruin the whole story.

BrorFraNord

Kaguya-sama and now MDUD. Got to be The Dangers In My Heart or Horimiya next if you want to keep riding the romance train

Amosão

I hope there's more romances in the next poll. Horimiya or Apothecary Diaries would be awesome!

Kalistos12

This was my first ever romance anime I watched and I loved the story so much I had to read the manga to see the ending XD its imposible that the rest wont be released in either a movie or a seasson 3 because that is honestly seasson 1 and 2 put togheter for how good the ending is. In the meantime I strongly sugest the second best romance anime made by the same studio that did My Dressup Darling which is The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity. If this is a 10/10 that is a 9.9 XD

R White

I just wish this anime would keep going and going on forever. I have not read the manga, but I hope that the ending is far into the future. Like, grandpa is shuffling through the studio telling two young kids, "your parents will be home any minute, so get ready for dinner." And a young 7 yr old girl named Juju is looking at the hina dolls in the case with a 'love at first sight' affection. Grandpa puts his hand on her head, and she turns up at him and says, she wants to make hina dolls as beautiful as he does. And grandpa, with a wide smile and shiny eyes, lets out a big laugh, and says, "I know you will." The End.

M.O.N.E

I recommend you guys to watch My hero Academia. Such a great anime and more importantly, it’s finished so no waiting or nothing

Viktor Engholm

I think the reference to Juju's mom's cooking was the trauma of being tricked into eating food you don't want to eat, and yes that is a real trauma people can get. So sadly it's not a "good parent" move to lie to your children about what they eat. It can lead to eating disorders at worst. Anyway, what an amazing show, hopefully we can wrap up the rest of the story somehow in the future, it would be such a shame to leave things where they are <3 Looking forward to what y'all will be watching next!

Alex Pettersson

at episode 2 of season 1 did you expect to feel like this? "Is that it!?" "I can't be over!"

Kazumadesu

Is it time for KoNOsuBA?! I certainly hope so

Smoker S

If you liked this show, I think you'll love The fragrant flower. Hope it will make it.

GhostPhil

There are a lot of great romcoms out there. Horimiya, Tomo-chan is a girl and Dangers in my heart , come to mind. I definitely hope more romcoms are part of the reaction schedule in the future 😊

Manny

Know what I’m gonna say it: Gojo Satoru < Gojo Wakana THERE I SAID IT! I’M NOT SORRY! 😤

Ben Rodriguez

Lol I had never heard the saying "canadian tuxedo" before! Real question though (answered by fan-arts and the likes ...): would you ship Amane with Suzuka or Miyako (Akira's heart is taken, so ...)? :-P But anyway, it's been a pleasure watching you react to this wonderful, wonderful! anime. I stopped counting how many I rewatched bits or all of it, and same thing for the OPs and EDs on my anime playlist always bringing a smile to my cranky old face ;-)

Gaël Ravel

I think a good continuation to MDUD would be "2.5 jigen no ririsa", a different take on cosplay but definitely equally beautifull

BarryButcher

Season 3 is currently not going to come considering it's been over a year since season 2 ended and still no plans. I ended up reading the Manga and I know you guys are reaction creators so probably can't risk doing that in case season 3 (or a movie) does come, i'll say the final arc is my favourite and should 100% be a atleast a movie.I don't know if there's enough content for 12 eps, but 100% can make 6-8 which would be a good movie.

Vaughan Roderick

As a lot of others are saying, check out the manga, it's finished so you won't have to wait for more chapters and it's worth reading from the start to see what was kept or added. It's beautiful either way.

Sinnr

I've been waiting for the rest of your reaction episodes on YT ever since you started the series! Then I saw your post that they were on Patreon for free and literally went and binged all of them. I actually created an account just to leave this comment and say thanks! Thank you so much for uploading them for free. I hope you can watch The Dangers in My Heart someday—there are two seasons out now and a third one coming soon! Thanks again, really!

Lunar174

winding up the fist "who do we need to talk to" is so funny! get em!

Rosman

hearing Kiss say she's not as into romance as Haylee actually made me go back and watch her last three Love Is War reactions again lol.

Alex Clerm

This show took me by surprise and now means so much to me. I'm very happy you enjoyed it as well When I heard s3 was in limbo I ran to the library to get the final few volumes. There's just a bit of the story left and it's so good. I can't believe they wouldn't do it. Heck, it could even just be a movie. Please I just need to se H****l Marin on the screen.

R White

Thank you for your work and thank you for sharing. I would like to see this anime end with grandpa in the hina doll gallery, closing up shop for the day, telling two young kids to hurry up into the living area, as your parents will be here soon. The little girl named 'Juju' is staring up at the hina dolls, and tells him how beautiful she is. And that one day she wants to make them also. Grandpa, lets out a big laugh and says, I am sure you will, with a little practice. End scene. 😭
