just fyi all armament haki is invisble it just shows as black so we know ehen they are using it. and people witj observation can tell when somones using haki and they can prob see it manifested as that black armour ptobably idk

Budats

Why did Mihawk tell Zoro that swords coated with Armament Haki becomes a black blade if it's invisible?

Animated Chris

Man this episode was…nuts? I’ll see myself out

Kaan Bas

because the blade gets poured in with so much haki i actually turns black. but we no nothing about how it's really done or how long it takes

Kaan Bas

if i actually explain the nuances it would get into spoiler territory

Emily Aster

Katakuri may be a mochi man, but his true love is Donuts, so his strongest attack is Donuts too... With the donut-donut fruit he would have been unstoppable.

John Paul

Both Bege and Aladine got some ride or die wife's from Big Mom.

I saw the message in the discord. Generally, I thought you'd be pretty separated from the rest of the reaction community (bad assumption in hindsight) but huge respect for amplifying Nick's video. You two couldn't be more different from him in terms of reaction style, so it makes the support that much more heartening❤️

Gaetan

"Signal boosting this video for Nicholas Light. Even though we remain unaffected ourselves, it's sickening seeing this happen to our fellow reactors. Get some eyes on this if you have the time. YouTube really needs to acknowledge this. https://youtu.be/7sArVe8WvlA?is=WnGy6DdDB7DgzcDE "

Kokuutou92

Praline and her "Under the Sea" reference is absolute cinema. Aladdin's a lucky man to have a giant mermaid wife.

Gaetan

K&K you may wants to change the title of your reactions replacing the show name both on Patreon and Youtube to avoid being caught in a mass AI strike. Stuff like "Staw hats", "The librarian diaries", "Dan²", "Shinigami Slayers" or "Death book" will be understood by everyone and may help deal with those issues. Idk how much safer are yt tags to keep an efficient search indexing in youtube =/

Kokuutou92

I'm so glad they aren't on the NUMBER ONE anime of the year contender atm. That copyright Armageddon is getting all of the reaction channels that are caught up.

The swords cannot turn black. The color black is only visible to us viewers, so we know when a character uses Haki. It is an invisible aura that encases and strengthens the user. Why Mihawk meant that any sword could become a blacksword referred to his blade, which is the strongest sword and means Yoru. The sword is the highest class of swords and is naturally very strong, even without Haki.

Árpád Kómár

Katakuri being whatever shape he needs to be is relevant to his character as well

I was looking into what the literal translation to his unstoppable donut move is called just to see if it's slightly different, and of course it's slightly different. The move is called unstoppable donuts in english, but it's more correct to say "Peerless" or "Unrivaled". Muso donatsu is how it's spelled in english letters. It's basically like saying "These donuts have no equal". 無双ドーナツ = “Peerless Donuts” / “Unrivaled Donuts” - 無双ドーナツ (Musō Dōnatsu). Just so you have an understanding of this word, btw, it's not to be taken lightly either. These are other examples: 天下無双 (tenka musō) = “peerless under heaven” / “unrivaled in all the world" 天下無双の剣士 (tenka musō no kenshi) “A swordsman without equal in all the world.” He is claiming that his attack is the most formidable attack there has ever been basically. lol

I think my favorite part of this arc is that we see 3 of Big Mom's children that she married off for political gains (Chiffon, Praline, Pudding), and every one of them betrayed her. And the reason they betrayed her? They loved their husbands more than Big Mom. And better yet, all their husbands seem to truly love them as well (though to be fair, Sanji loves every woman he meets).

Ognjen

Kiss unable to tell time 😭😭

Mr Necro

It hasn't been fully explained yet, but the idea is that as a person infuses an object with haki, the item naturally gains an affinity to the individual; like how a strong enough magnetic field can realign the atoms of another ferrous object near it, and that object will gain its own field. It is essentially the weak remnants of a previous owner's Haki passively emanating from it. Put enough in over a longer period of time, and the sword essentially coats itself in Haki. We never get to see Zoro use Shusui pre-timeskip before he developed his own control over Haki, so other than maybe Monet (who he actively tried to NOT kill); there's no evidence contradicting this.

Star.D.ust

Praline and Aladdin are SO CUTE!! and then there's Luffy's menacing smile with Bruleé🤣

Daniel Schott

Yes - episodes 869-871 are great and all ^^, but I'm REALLY excited for 861 & 862(!) - counting even the days *_*

Daniel Schott

The confusion if it is visble or not is understandable. The normal Armamanet Haki (Busoushoku) is like an invisible armor as Rayleight explained in chapter 597. The black Armament is the "hardening" (Busoshoku: Koka) as it concentrates the Haki to one arae and discolors this area. this Koka is what swordsmen use to infuse their swords.

Snowman9712

The swords absolutely can turn permanently black. That's why Shusui was a black sword, even before Zoro knew how to use haki. Infusing something with haki to turn it black during a fight is different than a permanent black sword. But please try not to discuss this any further, since discussions eventually rely on knowledge gained (or not yet gained) from current episodes/chapters.

Beefz

Because it's cool, next question

Daniel Schott

say what you want about Big Mom but all the arranged marriages we have seen so far are quite loving matchups.

Daniel Schott

Mom has a good eye for match-ups.

Kokuutou92

The best thing she did for Chiffon was marrying her off to Bege. Absolute power couple.
