Yeah in the english dub and as you heard in the original Japanese dub her name is C2. I really don't understand why they decided to go with CC in the subtitles.

If you guys remember there was a short scene in a previous episode where General Bartley told his research team (the ones who had CC originally) they were gonna move to Narita, which is of course where the current battle is taking place. So Code R is an experiment by the people who had CC. Code Geass loves to do stuff like this, it gets incredibly information-dense, with tons of little details that actually are relevant. It took me til a second watch to catch a lot of stuff.

That ending is one of the reasons this is my favourite anime

Her name is C.C. (as confirmed by the credits). C2 is just a pronounciation thing. It's a form of gikun (義訓)(aritfical reading) where words in japanese are written in their usual way, but an artifical reading is enforced to invoke specific connotations or sometime just to sound exotic or cool. You will find this everywhere in manga and anime. Geass is also an example for that. It's normally written as 王の力 (the power of kings) which would normally be pronounced as "oo no chikara". This sp,0elling directly links geass to nobility (i won't say more to avoid spoilers). But in Zero's context, another spelling is used, 絶対遵守の力 meaning "the power of absolute obedience" which would normally be pronounced "zettai junshu no chikara" but also uses the enforced reading of geass. So we have two different spellings with two very different connotations but both words are just pronounced as geass.

"what does that mean to you" cracked me up
