damn, the tension keeps ramping up. Watching this after so many years and still had me at the edge of my seat. Can't wait for the next episode!

The dub isn't bad if the onslaught of dialogue to read is too much. Probably will be some issues on YT though. But yeah this cliffhanger and some of the pieces that are getting set up. Yes he scuba the bomb into place and his goal was to use them to create the opening to get to Cornelia.

"Shirley it wont be that bad" nice

RealPersonMan

I feel bad for Shirley, no one deserves to have their lives destroyed like that. But there is also the truth that her being able to live a normal Britanian livestyle in Japan has come at the cost of maintaining the subjugation of the Japanese people. Her father was actively fighting to uphold that subjugation, so i cant really feel bad about his death. This is also why is despise Suzaku so much

The Black Knights knew they were going there to save the JLF. There is no indication that they knew Zero placed the explosive in the water. He gave the order to mobilize to the Black Knight right before he pressed the detonate button. Once it exploded Zero told the Black Knights that the General of the JLF must have done a suicide attack. Seemingly the only person who realized what Zero had done was the Britannian reporter, Diethard (and he loves it lol). Sometimes this series cuts to scenes that feel out of place or random, but everything has meaning. Plotlines are often slowly weened in and set up over the course of episodes. Don't worry too much about catching everything! Everything will be brought to light! Just enjoy the show!

This is the "most heavy" episode... so far...

Suzaku is a hypocrat. Want to change things but then just follows orders. He knows what Britannia is doing but staying silent. He is not capable to ciritically think for himself and think more complex and consider broader picture. He seems like a doll or a pawn good to follow orders. And he is obsessed with Zero like he s reponsible for all problems of the world. I like a contrast when Lelouch gave Kallen a choice to decide if she wants to continue when she was not sure about the way of doing things and then there is Suzaku who is unable to make a decision for himself and just follow orders.

Concerning the comparison to Yagami Light, I would like to just mention at the start Lelouch is seen to be struggling with the weight of all the lives that were taken, only to have his resolve strengthened by C.C. I think his conversation with Kallen also served to externalise some of the arguments he was having with himself about the damage they have done and the direction they are headed. I don't think Light was shown to give a solitary fuck about anyone he killed. On the contrary early on he would linger and smirk at his victims as he outsmarted them and the were dying.
