Just to clarify, Cornelia isn't using her subordinate as a shield — he voluntarily acted as shield for her. You can tell if you look closely at 5:34. Also, re the underground collaborators, I think Lelouch was steadily preparing for the coup in parallel with the school festival.

Just want to clarify, the soldier sacrificed himself for Cornelia. He jumped in front of Tohdoh's attack as he was incredibly injured already

A

Was going to comment this too. Cornelia has been shown to really care about her soldiers, glad they knew that and thought it would be weird of her to use him as a shield, even if they still thought she did

Dan Cervantes

You are meant to understand that Lelouch had been preparing the collapse by Geassing all of the operatives in the several months before this operation. Lelouch always plays the long game.

I forgot they added a new song for the last two episodes of the season ahahahaha. We have plans and chaos all converging towards the end. Can't wait for Tuesday and can't wait until you girls jump into season 2.

Freeofgreed

during Euphy's massacre we see Lelouch confront Dalton. That's presumably when he hit him with the Geass.

Lee Wood

I feel the exact same as you girls its cool to watch but its stressful and lelouch has kira vibes as hell. very chars counterattack

Myles Charlesworth

They were unwittingly sleeper agents, he geassed those maintenance employees to purge the floor they were responsible for when they heard the key word “surrender by midnight” from zero or something like that. It was all a precalculated premeditated plan for this eventual phase. Just to help clear up any confusion about how that whole thing played out.

Everytime I watched you two do the "post-ep" reaction/analysis, I genuinely am amazed how clear you understand thing, not just stories and details but also hidden meanings, how characters feel or why they act the way do etc. I watched everything in Japanese but for you guys to watch this show with subs and to have a deep understanding is amazing. Not just this show ofc. I've been watching handfuls of "react" youtubers/Patreoners for maybe 5 years or so? because it is always intriguing for me, Japanese, to see ppl from the other countries react our subculture, but sometimes they luck some key understanding. sometimes they luck this "enthusiastic tone" for the show they were watching, or maybe sometimes they just don't watch shows I like etc. But you guys always lock in each episodes, you have a great understaning of even the subtle things, you genuinely relate to the charactesrs and stories with full emotions, and you watch all these amazing shows(kudos to the members of this patreon for the great pool). I only joined this patreon bcz of this show and was a youtube enjoyer but I should have joined here like a century ago.
