I knew this one was going to be brutal. In the comic version of this, if I remember correctly, Rosita and Ezekiel were the two big names that alpha got. But they switched it up here on the tv version.

Dave Canon

That was how alpha marked the border of where their land and hers starts..don’t cross those pikes. She told Daryl “I marked the border..you’ll see it on your way out.”

Thank you for letting us know! Either way, the deaths are so unexpected 😔

Dave Canon

For me..the hardest death was Tara. Since she’s been around with this group since season 4 at the prison. The first 2 guys on the pikes that you see were the highway men. The 3rd guy was one of the saviors that joined our group.

Dave Canon

Yeah. I mean I never read the comic version of TWD, but I had seen pictures online and knew there was a bunch of characters that alpha kills and puts their heads on pikes. So most of the comic book readers knew what was about to happen there toward the end of the episode. And really for us it was all about being scared about who was actually going to die. We knew people were going to die, but we didn’t know which ones. So we were on the edge of our seats. Anxious. Nervous. We didn’t know if they would stick to the comic version or if they’d switch it up. Well, they switched it up.

oh no... here we go

It's so painful to watch your reaction to this episode and experience it with you. For me personally, the biggest loss was Henry, given the potential that was built up for him over two seasons. His death can only be rationalized by Alpha's resentment and her daughter's desire for revenge. As for the storyline, it's clearly more interesting than Negan's. In season 8, we mostly watched battles, with Carl's death happening in between.

In reality, most of the deaths have been altered; the show kept only the method of killing, but changed the characters who died.

Dave Canon

Except glen. Glen went the exact same way in the comic.

Yeah, Henry's character had so much potential. We totally didn't expect he'd be gone.

I know that it’s sad when someone dies on The Walking Dead. But I really think that they did a good job on this episode. What do you think?

Ryan

I really like season 9 but I think season 10 is incredible. I hope you guys like it and the next episode is awesome as well.

They did an amazing job! Plus, that eerie atmosphere was so on point.
