Since the whisperers live out in the wild like animals, they seemed to have migrated down south where it’s warmer. So yeah. Our group was able to move around safely. I like the way they ended this season. I feel like they knew that 9x15 would be rough, and they wanted to end on a good note. Kind of like what they did in 7x1 and 7x2 after the brutal opener of season 7, they gave us some comic relief in 7x2. When carol gets introduced to Ezekiel and the kingdom.

The first few shaky steps towards "humanizing" Negan has now happened.. it'll be one hell of a ride.. with some ups, and some downs - but generally speaking, I think the end-result will be worth the wait. Negan unfortunately got stuck as a sort of caricature for much too long in the shows timeframe.. they really should have started deconstructing him sooner.

There are a few differences with the comics, mostly because of Carl's absence in the show, and Judith not being there in the comics, but Carl did talk with Negan in the cell similar to how Judith spoke with Negan earlier on in the comics, but Carl still has hate for Negan because he was there for all of the things he did. At this point in the timeline, I don't believe there's a comic equivalent to Negan saving Judith. The cell was unlocked in the comics similar to Gabriel leaving it open in the show, but he didn't attempt to escape. He just waited for Rick to return to speak to him. I personally felt at this point the show wanted to highlight a bigger redemption arc here, because of the other characters they're lacking (Maggie, Rick, Carl)

I really think that it’s cool that we have a past villain still part of the show. It’s very unique and different but I really wish that they also had Dwight on the show. That would be really cool.
