TL;DR: This update adds full main menu settings, a shader overhaul, a HUGE piercing upgrade (including body piercings), and a full body pilosity system with multiple body areas, custom color, and mod support!

AND, for the first time in about 15 months, Linux and Mac builds are back! If you're on either platform, please report any issues. That would help a lot. Now, let’s dive into the changelog!

LUCID LUST v0.5.5

New Main Menu Settings

- Made part of the configuration file fully editable in-game, with full runtime editing support

- No need to restart or manually edit the config file for key settings

- Added 5 quality sliders (hair, AA, texture resolution, filtering, SSGI)

- Added 3 shadow sliders (resolution, quality for directional + micro shadows)

- Added 8 toggles to quickly enable or disable common settings (SSAO, SSR, SSS, etc.)

Both Character Creators

- Revamped the piercing system to allow a better 1:1 following of characters

- Added 13 new piercing shapes (for a total of 94)

- Added UI pictures for piercing materials

- Improved skin and mouth shaders with enhanced SSS

- Revamped teeth shader with SSS, gradient translucency, detail mask, and specular variation

- Reworked how colors were working with mouth shaders (teeth, gums, and tongue)

- Added dynamic specular highlighting to eyebrows

- Lowered eyebrow bump cap to 100% (specular system provides natural depth)

- Added eyebrow gloss and specular intensity as adjustable parameters

- Added pilosity's Fresnel-based rim lighting (to simulate peach fuzz)

- Added pilosity's view-angle-dependent opacity variation

- The sun is now fully rotatable in all directions for better material preview

Lucid Girl Creator

Skin Category

- Added 13 body details options (wrist scars & body veins)

Breast Category

- Added 10 piercing zones (5 for each nipple)

Bottom Category

- Added 34 piercing zones (31 genitals + 3 navels)

Pilosity Category

- Added 5 pilosity categories (arms, armpits, body, legs, and feet)

- Added full mod support for those 5 new categories

- Added 7 pilosity options

- Added body pilosity color

Lucid Man Creator

Eyes Category

- Added 2 Eyes Shapes sliders (Eyeball Sizes)

Pectorals (NEW)

- Added 6 Pectoral Shapes

- Reimplemented nipple style and added 30+ new ones

- Added 37 nipple shapes

- Added both nipple rotations

- Added nipples filter + opacity support

Butt Category (NEW)

- Added 12 Butt Shapes sliders

Scenario Creator

- Replaced the old "wetness" slider with the new "wet" and "moist" sliders

Bug Fixes & QoL

- Fixed the lip sync preview button not working properly since the last update

- Fixed the card's camera being bugged with some animations + expanded its maximum height

- Fixed several Scenario Creator issues, including hair not working properly

- Fixed Scenario Creator free camera gimbal lock by adding X-rotation clamping

- Removed deprecated preview stuff from the Scenario Creator

- Added a text shader fallback for people having issues with the text not always appearing

- Fixed the Male teeth shapes not working correctly

- Fixed default pubic color being white (made it black, like the new pilosity categories)

- Added a "hide piercing goal" tab to the Nose category (Girl only)

- Made the piercing goal sphere more accurate

- Fixed the piercing goal sphere sometimes showing outside of a piercing menu

- Fixed some main menu text and added interactable text to open the scenarios folder

- Updated the main menu credits

To keep the in-game credits clear and readable, they now list supporters who have contributed $10 or more (lifetime total). This change is also reflected in the $5 tier, which now includes the phrase “(if supporting for more than a month)”. Hey!! game not working on Mac? Download is fine, but when I try to open, gives me the "broken application" message

Hi! I'm currently building a wiki for the game, and I already did the MacOS Troubleshooting section, yay! Here is a copy/paste of it, if you need further help, don't hesitate to message me! MacOS Troubleshooting: How to run the game on Mac Several macOS security or compatibility features can prevent the game from launching, especially on newer versions of macOS or on Apple Silicon machines. This page lists the most common issues and how to fix them. 1. Older Macs Without Metal Support First thing to verify is that your hardware is compatible with the game. Lucid Lust requires Metal, and all Macs from 2012 and later support Metal. If your Mac is very old and doesn't support Metal, there is unfortunately no fix. The hardware cannot run the game. This is similar to the transition from 32-bit to 64-bit on Windows: very old systems simply cannot run newer games. 2. “File is corrupted” Error First, ensure your file is not an incomplete download (the DMG size for v0.5.5 should be exactly 9,890,369,166 bytes). If the download is complete, some versions of macOS may still display an error because the app inside the DMG is not notarized by Apple. You might see an error message like: “The disk image is corrupted and cannot be opened.” [Fix] Avoids the false “corrupted file” error. Right-click the .dmg Select Open Confirm to continue (macOS should now show the correct prompt: “This app is from an unidentified developer.”) Confirm to continue 3. Won't Launch On Apple Silicon (M1-M6) On an Apple Silicon Mac, macOS may refuse to launch it if Rosetta 2 is not installed. [Fix] Install Rosetta 2. Open Terminal and run: softwareupdate --install-rosetta Accept the terms when prompted 4. Browser Quarantine Attribute Safari, Chrome, and other browsers can add a quarantine flag to downloaded files, which may trigger a warning or prevent the app from opening. [Fix] Remove the quarantine attribute. Open Terminal Run: xattr -c "/path/to/Lucid Lust.dmg" You can also type xattr -c (with a space), and drag-and-drop the .dmg into the Terminal window to automatically insert the correct path. 5. Laggy Gameplay If the game runs slowly, stutters, or your FPS drops significantly, it may be because your GPU or CPU cannot handle the current graphics. [Fix] Adjust graphics settings. On the main menu, click the gear icon to open the settings menu Lower Hair Quality, Texture Quality, and Shadow Resolution to Medium, while keeping other settings green if possible These adjustments can significantly improve performance on older or less powerful hardware without affecting the core gameplay experience. After trying the game with these settings, if it works fine, you can stop there and enjoy Lucid Lust! If the game is still laggy, try more aggressive settings adjustments: Lower all Quality sliders and Shadows sliders to Lowest/None Disable SSAO, SSR, SSS, and other post-processing effects It is still highly advised to keep Eyes Depth active, as this is a core component of the eyes' appearance. If the game is still laggy, you can go further by editing advanced game settings.
