Content

Since the last update, I've been working not only on new features for the game itself, but also on improving everything around it: downloading & updating the game, sharing & getting additional content, and also trying to bring the community closer together haha! ♥

LUCID LAUNCHER

Downloading and updating Lucid Lust is now easier than ever.

DOWNLOAD IT HERE(Supporter and Public versions for Windows and Linux)

The new Launcher lets you automatically install:

- Game versions (Public and/or Supporter)- Updates (differential patching means no more need to download the entire game every new update)- Cards (lucidlust.net content is fully connected to the launcher)- Mods (installed straight into the right folder in one click)- Scenarios (browse and install community scenarios directly from the Launcher)- Modules (no more need to follow installation instructions)

So, yeah, for Windows and Linux users it means no more downloading archives from MEGA/Pixeldrain and manually extracting files. I've also made the launcher support multiple languages (English and French for now), so that I can push other languages easily in the future (when the game itself will be localized, I'm more and more tempted to do it sooner than later haha).

What about macOS?

YOU CAN DOWNLOAD LUCID LUST 0.6.1 SUPPORTER FOR MAC HERE

Unfortunately, I still don't own a Mac, which means I can't properly develop a native macOS launcher, or even notarize the macOS version of the game. For now, macOS will continue using the previous download method (MEGA) and the unoptimized scripting backend (up to 2 times slower), also, I will now only build the Supporter version for macOS, so v0.5.8 (downloadable here) was the latest Public version until v1.0. I'd absolutely love to support macOS versions properly in the future, but at the moment a Mac is completely outside my budget.

MONTHLY SCREENSHOT CONTEST

It's time to show everyone what YOU can create with Lucid Lust!

If you want to participate, there is now a landing page dedicated to the recurring contest on the website, here: https://lucidlust.net/screenshot_contestEvery month you can submit your best in-game screenshots for a chance to win up to 3 months of Patreon subscription!

The winning screenshot will be shown in the Lucid Launcher for an entire year (along with your creator name), and it will also be shown in the winner gallery on the website (forever)!

You can submit as many screenshots as you want, you can participate as a non-supporter and with any version of the game, and your entries remain private unless they make it to the monthly top 3!

COMMUNITY MODS AND SCENARIOS

Sharing creations with the community is now built directly into the website, here: https://lucidlust.net/ugc_submit

For now, you can submit currently supported mods and scenario files. I will personally review every submission, and once approved, they will become available directly inside the Launcher for everyone to download (with one click!).

This new way of sharing/installing user-made creations has multiple goals:

- Making it effortless to share, find, and download community creations (official hub)- Creating a solid way to retrieve mod dependencies (true workshop)- Giving creators proper visibility and credit for what they make

You should see this as an in-house Steam Workshop, but my version 100% allows (and encourages) NSFW haha! On a side note, I will add mod support for 3D models and animations in one of the upcoming updates, along with a built-in mod creator!

Now for the changelogs!

New Mode: Group Conversation (You + Two Characters)

- Added group conversations with two characters at once, each having its own personality and speaking in its own voice- Added natural turn-taking with characters being able to speak when they want- Added a simple auto-continuation system (if you stay quiet, the two characters keep talking to each other)

Bring your scenes to life with fully custom video playback on in-world objects!- Introduced a new entity type: Video Entity! Designed for dynamic storytelling, screens, TVs, and immersive props- Video Entities can play custom imported .mp4 videos directly on object surfaces- Videos are automatically stretched to fit the entity’s render ratio (16:9, 1:1, 9:16, 4:3, etc.)- Video playback loops continuously; audio (if present) also loops in sync- Custom videos are stored inside the scenario file itself (similar to textures, audio, and other custom assets)

New Entity Type: Text Entity

Overall Bug Fixes & QoL

- Fixed bright white and reddish lines that could appear on the face when facial features were pushed to extreme shapes (most noticeably on flat/mono eyelids)- Improved overall skin quality under all lighting conditions for custom character shapes- Fixed the "Abort Load" button not being shown on ultra-wide resolutions- Fixed the Height calculation being broken in the last update in both Character Creators- Fixed the "Show Mods" toggle not working in the Pilosity Category- Reworked the UI of the Scenario Creator loading list- Fixed certain "open folder" buttons not doing anything on some platforms/configs- Fixed multiple Eyebrows mod folders being created in the wrong place- Fixed some typos here and there

Known issues:

- Some blending transition issues are now visible when using the blend node as a waypoint. You can safely ignore this issue since this will be fixed- Mod support for the male is all over the place and needs a full revamp. To avoid any problems, do not use mods with males for now- Mod support doesn't work for the girl's tongue anymore, as the girl's mouth needs a revamp too

TL;DR: There is now an official game launcher (no need to re-download the entire game for every new update), a way to install and share user-made content (mods, scenarios, etc.), a monthly screenshot contest open to everyone with rewards, massive improvements to the eye shader, several new additions to the Scenario Creator, and a huge upgrade to the Lucid Chat module!

Thank you all for your support. I hope you enjoy all these new additions to the project! ♥
