GTA 5 update and Battle Eye anti cheat (Patreon)

Game received a update recently that added a anti cheat system for Online mode, but this system also affects Offline/Single Player mode, it blocks the ASI Loader making impossible to use mods that are based in the ASI Loader plugin, there is a temporary work around, this video explain how :)

Also, game file version changed in this update, so, ScriptHookV stopped working as expected, case you have a backup of previous game patch file, you still can launch your game with mods, otherwise you need to wait for a ScriptHookV update that commonly comes in a week or less :) (Check the download page here or here) 

This is a backup of my STEAM gta5.exe from older game patches that still working (Mirror)

This isn't neccasary, the Rockstar Launcher literally has an option to disable the anti cheat

idk how tf my issue hasn’t been resolved, this is the biggest issue yet and i hope no one encounters this issue as once it’s resolved it can be spread on a fix

The GTA5.exe backup patch won't work for me. Keeps giving me the "Destination Folder Access Denied" popup message everytime I try to replace the updated gta5.exe

that's issue in your side, antivirus blocking, no rights to write in the game folder (probably) search Google for "folder write permission"

once disabled from Rockstar Launcher, it should work for all versions because all gta loads Rockstar L settings, I tried it on epic

for some reason i get a CTD whenever I try to load up, no error nothing. I wanted to know if this update broke scripthook because I'm getting a mismatching version error (that results in immediate termination) whenever I use the current build. The build you provided CTDs for me. Any advice?

crash to death? everytime game version increases in a update, scripthookv will stop working, it's planned, seems that things may change in game causing issues, thats why it locks into know versions, a scripthookv update come a week or later about game crash, maybe its related to modded rpf files, or your gta isn't from Steam. Renaming mods folder to modsss to test it's a option

I tried running it with my mods folder renamed, still CTD. Even removing scripthook & asi loader and trying a normal launch won't help. I have a modified gameconfig with the necessary edits(thanks for that amazing guide) and I added a TON of peds from TheDarthKnight that I added to my game via OIV - could it be something there? I usually have no issues with OIV files and I already have ran this game for months with tons of mods and peds with no issues

if you installed the added peds choosing mods folder it wouldn't affect game launch when the mods folder it's renamed to modsss, your game it's from Steam?

Yessir, my game is from steam. I also added suit files directly to the game folder using the OIV method (you and TDK's stuff crosses over quite often so I doubt that's the issue but I thought all info helps.)

well, unfortunately there isn't much i can do to help, better thing is you make your own backup of gta5.exe each time game updates, this way you can apply your own file, maybe rockstar changes something in the .exe of different PCs

Thanks for the quick responses and taking the time to help Julio, I had to consult an expert before I broke something else. Do you think I could be using the wrong gameconfig file?

this also goes in mods folder, so, renamed mods folder shouldn't result in issues, one thing you can do it's verify game files integrity, then apply again the gta5.exe, rename mods folder to modsss case isn't and then test the game

I see! Ok, that makes sense. You were right about it being the modified RPF files - I used openiv to uninstall Openiv.asi and the game loads normally no issues. I'm not sure how to trouble shoot further - assume it could be a dlclist issue?

openiv.asi will load Mods folder files and also modded RPF files outside mods folder structure, are you sure you renamed mods folder to test? make the verification of game files, maybe you edited RPF files outside mods folder structure

Hey Julio, just an update - I've isolated the issue and it's definitely my RPF files. The new scripthook is out and it's still CTD instantly on storymode load, when the game isn't loading the mods folder, it runs just fine. I think I have to wait for a new gameconfig file to come out; I see other users experiencing issues on the gta5mods gameconfig page

it also can be related to your update.rpf in mods folder structure, rename it to something else and copy the new one from outside mods folder structure to test, you need to put back the gameconfig.xml and dlclist.xml from your actual modded update.rpf

I still got a ctd doing this...

Were getting stuck on loading screen, then background turns black. If I back out I see message box howing ERR_SYS_FERR_SYS_Fileload....corrupt game data. I deleted the battleye exe like in video and installed new scripthook. Any ideas of what we can do?

try renaming your mods folder to modsss to see if there is a issue in your modded rpf files

Ok changed folder name and game loaded. What do I need to do next to be able to use mods? The menus still come up but when you select one such as spderman it puts random characters on but seems to have powers

Ok followed the video and now game will load and we can play but the PEDs don't change correctly. Will load random items on player and sometimes it's a random item where suit would be. When I go to F8, ped sector, there are zero avaliable. Tried changing mods folder back to modsss and found no change. Still not loading ped or loading incorrect ped and items. Just trying to list all issues for troubleshooting ppurposes lol. Next steps would be appreciated. Have not done anything with gamerconfig file talked about at end of video.

your problem its probably related added peds, when you put back your mods folder, game tries to load the custom dlclist.xml and have issues, maybe you have too much added peds, did you removed mpheist4 entry from dlclist.xml?

No i did not remove it. While file should I be looking at for size issues?

Dod all the steps. Game loads fine just OEDs are changing or loading. The suits powers work properly but no Ped. When I hit CTRL + L it doesn't bring up PED menu either.

I do not know how to install PEDs so I have not tried that. I sent you a few emails with video examples

well, you must download and install ped models to use with the mods, check readmes for links, gta5mods site have lot of ped models

not yet, but i asked thinking that you already had the ped models installed, the fact you didn't installed, changes everything

The models have been installed already and they all worked properly. They all worked until we tried playing after the battle eye update.

I've been supporter on Patreon since May of 2023 using your mods. They've all been working properly until recently. Something happened when the battle eye update went out. Everything is back workexcept the PEDS. I emailed you a few videos like you requested shoing the issue. Also you are welcome to log into my system through team viewer and see if you can find issue that way.

you still have your mods folder from before latest game update? if you do, your peds are all there, just need to be restored renaming back mods folder name, applying the added peds fix probably will solve your crash issue

Not having any crash issues anymore and yes I have an old backup saved but could you give me some guidance of what exactly do next? Did you see the videos?

yep i saw, the red names means that game was unable to load the ped model name that is set in the suit .ini file of that item in the menu, this commonly happens when the ped isn't installed or doesn't have his entry in dlclist.xml file in mods folder structure. send me your dlclist.xml from mods/update/update.rpf/common/data let me check what you have there

I emailed it to you just now. Some of the names aren't in red and still do not function. The scripts work just not PED

when i load the flash mod and try to take a step the game crashes, i dont know how to fix it, all other super hero mods work (superman, thanos, ironman ect)

a nice tutorial but there is a second option you can also deactivate battle eye in the rockstar games launcher

I don't know if you can help me, but since the latest update of script hook v, no mods work anymore, even if I installed everything correctly. Only ASI mods work. I've tried everything but nothing helps
