OIV to "onigiri" - Tool to convert OIV setups for NVE Enhanced (Patreon)

I decided to make this tool today to help people install my mods on GTA 5 Enhanced with NVE Enhanced, they created a new thing called "onigiri" that works like a mods folder but better, unfortunately this version is incompatible with mods folder (openIV.asi or openRPF.asi) making impossible to use mods without installing them directly into the "onigiri" folder, this tool will convert my mods setups to make them be installed in the "onigiri" folder 😎😁

May work for other OIV setups too

Obs.: Some antivirus may wrongly detect this file as virus because it isn't code signed, so, if you trust my work, add it to whitelist of your antivirus case it detects as virus.

Use OpenIV to install the converted OIV files choosing "game folder" when installing, if you choose Mods folder things wont work...

how to get the suits? I can only enable keep_player_char even though suits.ini files are there.

use the normal version of nve. and not enhanced. and follow the video. it will install the same way

you probably didn't downloaded and installed the ped models, check readmes

I did, converted with codewalker, but the suit files are in red color in game

make sure you installed in correct gta and choosing mods folder (case isn't the game with nve enhanced)

Nope, I found the issue, after converting the peds and installing it, it did go to the dlcpacks, but it was not listed in the dlclist for some reason. so i had to manually add the line for the peds to work.

Hey Julio I know this is the wrong post to be commenting on but as you know, GT updated and script to be doesn’t work, and I’ve tried the fix that you posted and it worked for legacy, but not enhanced for enhanced after the loading screen where you would usually see story mode it is just a black screen with a button labeled back in the bottom right so unless there’s another way to like downgrade your game version to the previous version so everything will work I don’t really know what to do because the script hook v hasn’t updated yet

maybe its the outdated update.rpf in mods/update folder, but updating it will overwrite dlclist.xml this happened in my note yesterday and here i had to apply gameconfig again and remove few official recent "mp" dlclist xml entries after updating the update.rpf

well i know what im about to ask is a waste of time and a lot but if you could create a youtube tutorial that would be great and im sure im not the only one with this problem but then again you probably have a ton of other stuff you need to deal with

it's simple apply the backup of gta5.exe and update2.rpf that i posted extract your dlclist and gameconfig from mods/update/update.rpf/common/data as backup copy the update.rpf from update folder to mods/update folder and replace existing one add back your dlclist and gameconfig right click the dlclist and click in Edit navigate to the end of file and start deleting lines where the dlc name starts with "mp" and have 23, 24 or 25 in name, alsom mpsum and mpheist3

so can i just uninstall gta enhanced reinstall and replace the files with the script hook v fix files then install mods normally?

Hey Julio, I know that when superman flies closer to the sky/sun the enegry bar replenishes faster. Is this possible for the health bar too?

So I did a clean reinstall and I follow your gta enhanced basic mod set perfectly and when I launch the game it says “Error writing .nibmod file for Superman V2: The process cannot access the file 'D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced\Scripts\Superman V2.nibmod' because it is being used by another process.” I’m not sure if this is something to worry about

for anything you plan to install using NVE enhanced, the installation path is different and mods folder isn't working

i found out that the issue is related to NVE.asi file, here started working fine after removing it

brov I tried to convet ironman mark 85 mod oiv file using this application but its showing an error saying : error creating temp files and so on. I comverted mark 85 yyt ytd files using code walker open rpf assert converter and converted into oiv file, this oiv file should be install in mods folder since im using nve i cant use mod folder and tried to convert this oiv to nve file but that showing the error that I mentioned above. please give me solutions or pointers. i can't find anywhere

probably you are running the app without admin rights, you should extract it to a folder in somewhere you can write like desktop then run the app as administrator

I did brov before this file I converted couple of files and they converted without any problem. Only this file is not converting

brov can you please make a video on how to add ironman or any other superhero mod using this oiv to onigiri application please brov. i can't remove nve now cuz I've added ton of addons in onigiri thats why I'm stressing over this. Please brovv thank you...

making a video showing the exact same thing that you did wouldn't help, something changed in your side causing the issue, try extracting the tool to a different folder

I can't find the file named "GTAe-supermanhomeibrightsentryvoid addonpack.oiv" among the three files shown at the beginning of the video

Still getting the launch error currently, tried removing NVE.asi and still getting the error.

With NVE.asi in the folder I get "exited unexpectedly" in the Rockstar launch. With NVE.asi removed and NVE.bin still there I get the same. With them both removed I get the same. Could it be due to me using an updated version? These are all mods that I got working previously on an old game update and NVE update, aside from the batman oiv I recently converted.

When I add Open.RPF I get past the launcher but the game just crashes without even popping up the loading screen or anything

probably the gameconfig inside Onigiri folder structure needs to be updated

It sucks because all these mods worked before and it works when I install like 2 but any more than that and it does this "exited unexpectedly"

I've followed all these steps and can confirm it is the WizardsV mod, without it I can install 13 of your mods without issue. I cannot launch the game at all if WizardsV is the only mod installed while all others work, I am not sure if I am setting it up incorrectly but my WizardsV OIV is from 2/4/2026.

I was able to get all your mods working without NVE (like their non-converted versions) but I keep crashing after launch (around the splash screen with police sirens) and I am pretty sure it's due to gameconfig but I've tried so many (with ClothStore and ScriptStore fixes) so which gameconfig should I use to make NVE work with your mods?

did you replaced gameconfig in Onigiri folder structure? because NVE enhanced doesn't uses mods folder, your issue is probably due to the added peds, not my mods

once i do that, the game always crash when trying to start. if i copy the gta V enhanced.exe and make it gta v.exe the openIV will not recognize it. If I use zEnhanced to create it and can install the superman file with openiv but then to start the game i need to delete the gtav.exe but it crashes every time

what else are you installing? peds? because just installing the superman mod wouldn't cause issues probably

- im trying to get it to work with relistic weapon sounds in 1st- but it does not installs the right way,it will be very nice if this will works..i have tryed much other ways to merge mods with or + onigiri folder but nothing works really well/or without conflicts..thank u for replie!!!

Hey Nib, does this oiv converter works for weapons too in Enhanced NVE, it works great for your mods but how do i install weapons like superhero weapons on NVE
